Pen shapes
Not a big fan of the very rounded shape. What about something more square or elliptical for pen options?
It would make lines look more crisp!

Flascard testing timer feature
When testing on flash cards students can enter a time (e.g. 10 minutes) and the app will prioritise the most appropriate cards. This would allow students to use when they have a quick 10 mins in between lessons and know they are using the spacing effect well.

Note Taking Mode
I would like the 'favorites' feature from Notability implemented along with the additional screen space that GoodNotes has when going into no-writing mode and taping the screen to make the bar go away.
Basically I want an ACTUALLY full-screen paper notetaking experience with a small, customizable, movable shortcuts bar that can fit up to 5-10 preselected pen/size/colors. Aka, a streamlined (Note Taking Mode).

Auto-backup of books with large number of pages
Some books with many pages (around 1000) are not being auto-backed up to my GDrive. It would be good if you can fix this issue.

Option to hide flashcards
I was reading the document and making flashcards. But when reading it again, i had to go through like 20 flashcards while reading my document, which i felt was annoying. Either there could be option to hide flashcards, or a separate tab for them as there is for outline, thumbnail etc

Easier way to write near the edges of a page
I wish the page wasn't bouncing back and snapping to the edge when i try to zoom out

remove the ability to move lines with the finger
Please remove the ability to move a line with a finger. If I want to make changes to the document I will use my pencil. The finger is only for scrolling/navigating. I dont want to always switch to the „reading mode“ before I scroll around in the document.

Automatic Font saving Instead of “Save as default”
Get rid of the “Save as default” in font styling and just have the font set automatically to the font when it’s adjusted. Just like how when you work in word document, google docs, when you set the font, it stays at that font every time you work. I constantly have to change fonts and reclick the “Save as default” Font, and it’s really annoying because it doesn’t appear in split screen. Why not just get rid of it entirely and save the font once it’s set, as it’s much more intuitive.
In Notability, they have the Font Adjuster appearing…

Colour memory for different tool
Please add memory of colour to tools. Switching from pen to shape tool, I’m stuck in the same colour used in “pen” , so I have to change the colour . Different tool should have different colour memory

Share documents with a link (share with people who do not have the app)
Many GoodNotes users want to share documents with people who do not have the app, so it would be incredible if you added the option to share through a link so that anyone from any browser can view it and download it in pdf format, and that when we are modifying the file the other person reload the page and the changes made will appear.

Opaque Shapes option
Hi,
My professors sometimes provide us with scans of documents to read. I like to annotate as I read. However because these can be scans with black edges from scanning, it is really hard to find a color that will show through. If I was able to put an opaque shape behind my text to make it easily viewable, that would be awesome. The current fill only allows for a see though fill and it doesn’t help at all. I also can’t chose white because it would not show on the white spaces and I don’t want to be changing…7 votes -

笔记定义的时候只能够基于单种语言进行OCR，在iOS 15发布后留意到Live Text可以实现多语种同时OCR识别，是否有可能调用API实现多语种同时OCR，尤其是对于学科笔记而言，以中文为主体记录，但很难避免会部分出现数字或英文单词，这个时候会识别不到。

excalidraw is a popular tool and has that same vibe of hand drawn coolness. They also seem to have a large set of libraries. It'll be a hug productivity boost if one can import their library

moving the image from one page to several pages next
when I was taking notes, I needed a picture from the page 1 to page 5. I made a copy of that image and tried to drag that image down to the 5th page but I couldn't move several pages down when I am holding the the copy of the image.
the only way was to make copy on each page. meaning when you make a copy you can only drag it around whatever page shown on a screen, no further.10 votes
