A Button to Instantly Convert Pasted Text Into Default Settings
When I use my Mac along with my iPad for Goodnotes, I will use my laptop to copy and paste longer text into my the notebook that I am working on. So if I copy and paste from a website, I always have to change the font and font size to what I want it to be.
I think there should be a button in the styling area that says "Convert to Default" or maybe even a pop up button after you paste something that says "Convert to Default" or "Convert to Default Font."
This would be very convenient!

Customize (toggle different) views of Thumbnails (3x3, or 6x6, etc.)
I'm a teacher and I use Goodnotes for marking many assessments seeing as we are largely remote nowadays, it would be nice to change the number of pages we see in each row (even if that means making the icons smaller). For example, in a test that was four pages long, I can bookmark the start of each new student's test and it lines up nicely, but if I am marking anything other than a four page test, it doesn't - if possible, it would be great to pick and choose how many pages are seen per row (like a…

Elements in zoomed-in screen area, not center of note page.
Hi. I LOVE the addition of elements to Goodnotes. This has increased my user experience ten fold!
One Request: I often am zoomed way in when I'm taking notes, so I have a larger screen surface and more notes on a page. It would be helpful if when adding a saved element to a page, the element is placed where you are zoomed in, versus in the center of the page. Or, have the ability to use the lasso tool to circle an area, and add the element to that area.

Outline and bookmarks to appear as a side menu
In the iPad version, bookmarks and the outline appear as a pop-up, but it would be more convenient if they could appear as a side menu, the same way they appear in the MacOS version.
This would enhance navigation in the iPad version as we can then keep the bookmark/outline bar open to quickly move to different sections of a file, and then close the side-menu when not needed.

Allow to make margins from pages wider
I read a lot of research papers and sometimes want to summarize a paragraph in the margins. However, the margins are often too small to do that. It would be nice to convert the A4 paper to A3, or just an option to add a few centimeters on each side.

Easier Way to Create Custom Notebook Cover
Please an easier way to upload a Custom notebook cover when creating a new notebook. This should not be an elaborate process of exiting and entering a new window area to edit templates or require a tutorial.
The cover should be easy to upload from phone or desktop and includes auto cropping /resizing of the image.
Please compare to Zoho Notes and how easy it is to create custom notebook covers and also how images are stored as templates to re-use for new notebooks as well.2 votes -

Enhance the Text Input/Editing Please.
I have been using GoodNotes for over two months now. The only thing I would point to as poor is the text input/editing functions. Please add a few basic options such as Bullet Point, Check Box, and Tables.
GoodNotes is my favorite note-taking app, but the text function could be improved a little more.

Snap lasso tool to page boundary instead of ending lasso selection
When using an Apple Pencil with the lasso tool, if I get too close to the edge of the page I frequently go just beyond the edge, causing the lasso tool to think that's the end of the lasso area selection. This typically does not result in the desired area being selected.
Instead of terminating the lasso area selection when going out-of-bounds, snap the lasso selection to the page boundary and continue lasso area selection.
(This seems to be the behavior of the macOS app when using the lasso tool with mouse. It would be good to enable similar behavior…

Copy Option
After "objects" was added, when using the lasso tool the "copy" option was moved to the second page of choosable options. As this is my most used option, it would be nice to have it back on page 1 of the option window. It's annoying to have to do one click more to get to second page every time.

Export PDF with N-up function (multi-pages per sheet)
Having an option to export notebooks and PDF in N-up layout. Can choose page orientation and how many pages per sheet (2,4,6,8 etc.).

Being able to fold a part of a page or a full page, akin to toggle list in notion. That would be immensely useful.

„indefinite“ / bigger worksheet / page surface
Please consider to add a huge sheet as an option (bigger than A0). That would be great (like OneNote has it) .A really big sheet (with lines or squares) where you can brainsorm and load pictures and other pdf in it. if you add a pdf the sheet will get bigger.
This would also be great for students who have a big script and want to add note to the side of the document insead of adding new pages3 votes -
Can you please have an option to disable the write to text?
everytime I go to type out a text box I get cock blocked by the pencil to text. I enjoy using my apple pencil to move my text boxes and the pencil to text option is something I do not really like nor wanted. An option to get to this feature on or off would be awesome!

Import calendar events into a note
It would be great to be able to import a calendar event into a note like OneNote can. It would save time having to write that info down as well as be a good search tool.
