[Tape] More Tape Style Options
As the title suggests, I need more tape styles or more customizable tape styles. The current tape styles are too monochromatic and not very attractive. They are not smart or colorful enough, and they are not personalized or free. I hope that more support can be provided for this function as soon as possible, rather than getting stuck in AI text recognition and neglecting the construction of basic functions. Other note-taking software has had this feature for a while, as shown in the figure below.

Defined zoom levels
I feel comfortable writing at a very specific zoom level on the page. I would like to know exactly what this zoom level is and be able to go specifically back to that level of zoom. i.e., write some text, then zoom out to cut and paste, move things around, then when I am ready to start writing text again zoom exactly back to that specific zoom level.

Additional Space for Notes Next to PDFs
Additional Space for Notes Next to PDFs
I’m a philosophy student in Germany, and I use GoodNotes to read and annotate PDFs, scrolling vertically through the pages. One feature I’ve always wished for is the ability to add extra space to the left and/or right side of the page.
This would be a real game-changer for me. Currently, I often have to squeeze small notes into the margins of my documents, which feels cluttered. Having expandable note-taking areas next to the PDF would make annotating much more comfortable.

Türkiye’ye Özel Fiyat Politikası ve Türkçe Transkript Desteği Talebi
Merhaba GoodNotes Ekibi,

Continuous Note Taking
It would be great if we could write notes off on the margins for pdfs or have a continuous note taking feature instead of having to add new pages to a document.

Enable non shuffle and an undo button for smart flashcards
I like to build on my flashcards in chronological order and I wish there was an undo button because I have accidentally swiped right before I read it.

Need adjustable pencil sensitivity !!
I am a current user of GoodNotes 6 and have been enjoying the new pencil feature. However, I’ve noticed that the pencil appears quite faint unless I press down with significant force. When writing with a lighter touch, the lines are too light and difficult to see clearly.
I believe an option to adjust the pencil’s sensitivity, allowing users to control how dark or light the pencil strokes appear, would greatly improve the experience. This feature would be especially helpful for users like me who prefer a darker stroke without having to apply too much pressure.
Thank you for your…

Pencil
The new pencil tool is nice to write with. However, the pencil tool does not seem to be able to use pen gesture and handwriting recognition as well as the pen. Hopefully in the future, pencil tools can also use these features.

Image to text - Extracting text from an image or pdf
To be able to upload an image/pdf and have AI generate a copy of the text within that image/pdf to be able to copy and paste it. I often find myself having to re-type something from an image or an app (that doesn’t allow me to copy) so having this feature would work wonders. Brandfolder.com have an offer of 5 free uses a day for extracting text from a file, if you would like to try it! (:

OCR
I would like there to be a text recognition function (OCR) inside Goodnotes 6 so that it is possible to search for paragraphs of text in the various documents by writing certain words in the search bar, even if the PDF I am searching for is in non-editable image format (a bit like what is done with the iPhone gallery app)
Also a function to convert the texts of non-editable PDFs into copyable and editable text but at the same time having careful attention to not modify the layout of the page, such as PDF X-CHANGE FOR Windows

copy text formatting
I would like to suggest adding a feature that allows users to copy text formatting within the app. This would greatly enhance efficiency when working with different styles and layouts.

single tap to open a link
Currently you have to long press a link, then choose open link from a menu. This is very time consuming, especially if you are using a daily planner template. yes, you can put the app into "view mode" then it will work in single tap. but that is also time consuming. Please give us the open to single tap in the edit mode. You may be saying "but a single tap will appear as though it's the user trying to write with the pen tool". Well, you could do a little gesture recognition and determine if it's a finger or…

Laser Tool
Laser pen .....
Doing rough Work with laser pen on document is good as a part of learning process
But the only drawback is it gets vanished too soon i suggest Good notes team to atleast increase its disappearing time to 5- 6 seconds instead of existing 1-2 second when apple pencil is lifted up from screen :)6 votes
