  1. When you want to move pages within the same document you have to click on it and scroll through the thumbnail until you get it to where you would like to move it. I think there should be an option to type in the page number you would like to move it to, and then the page that is already located on that page number automatically moves below the newly moved page.

  2. It would be fantastic if there was a feature that hides a part of a note into a toggle button, which will expand the hided section when clicked, similar to the toggle function in notion. Perhaps the lasso tool could be used to select the content that is to be hided into toggle. This would tremendously boost the ability for active recall while reviewing through notes, without the need of creating flashcards, or using other apps that has the toggle feature.

  3. I love reading and studying on goodnotes but the only downside is while reading is immersive thanks to full screen. Writing introduces an unnecessary number of button clicks to start writing, and distracts from the material

If there was a Focus Mode, which was full screen and only allowed writing in one stroke type and erasing using the Apple Pencil. That would drastically improve my focus and ability to study.

  4. GoodNotes documents can get quite large over time. Synchronizing (and backing up) them on constantly uses ridicules amounts of data (sometimes up to 1GB in a single day).
Using GoodNotes in school, this poses a big problem, as we currently don't have working WiFi. Connecting my iPad to my iPhone's Personal Hotspot is always a story of force closing GoodNotes, connecting to the Hotspot, doing whatever, disconnecting and relaunching GoodNotes as I have a limited amount of high speed cellular data.

To solve this, GoodNotes could support iOS native Low Data Mode, which users can set system wide on a…

  5. An easy way to upload pdf with powerpoint slides on it so that it creates a few lines underneath or next to the slide when uploading it to GoodNotes. That way we can write our notes during a lecture next to the slide instead of cramping al of the information on the actual slide itself.

  6. it’s a great function especially when you are running out Of space on ur page.
I have a suggestion, here we are typing to add notes. Wouldn’t it be nice if we were just allowed to write on the black dialog box that opens up, straight with our apple pencils? As most of us will be using our Apple Pencil to take notes.

  7. I love the flashcard feature in Good Notes! But, I have an idea for how to make it more user-friendly. What if you could put 'tags' on certain cards? For example, in my bio flashcards, I would love to tag which chapters the card is from (e.g., "Ch. 1", "Ch. 2", "Ch. 3"). Then when I launch the flashcard feature, I can select which tags I would like to review. If I feel comfortable with the content from chapter 1, I would leave those cards out. You could also tag cards by their level of difficulty, kind of question (true/false,…

  8. In the pages view, when clicking the arrow on a page, would be great to add a new feature "Archive". This sends the current page to the last page of the notebook and slightly dims it, or adds an icon indicating it is archived.

  9. I use GoodNotes for teaching (and it‘s great for that). However I‘d love widgets like timers for students. I use classroomscreen.com for timers and soundlevel sensors, which are oddly specific requirements for teachers. So I don‘t think features like these will be implemented.
If I could use the presentation mode while in splitscreen, I could show timers/other widgets on one side, while not losing space in my GoodNotes document. Also I don‘t want students to see messages popping up on my screen.

  10. a pomodoro timer ( be it stopwatch or custom timer with breaks ) within the app.
when the timer starts it blocks all the other apps and only lets you use goodnotes and allowed apps.

  11. It would be amazing if you could select which notecards to study. Sometimes, you only need to study a few.

  12. It would be very helpful for an API of some sort to be exposed, so developers could make various plugins.
    A few ideas:
    - Programmable notes (Useful for maths - insert difficult sigma sums, calculations etc)
    - Ability to tap into handwriting recognition (recognise chemicals, equations, etc)
    - Siri/ shortcut support
    - Custom shape snapping
    - Themes

I'm sure there are more things developers could do with this ability. Take VSCode for instance. Granted it was built from the beginning to be easily modified, but their plugin ecosystem is incredible.

  13. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
I would be happy if you could add more colours to the tool bar in order to switch between them faster.
Is this feature already planned in your road map?

    Yours sincerely

  14. It would be nice to be able to set more custom default fonts, like the handwriting mode already has. This can be efficient when there is often a need to separate the headline from the body text.

  15. When taking notes for class, I write in a new note for each lecture rather than continuing off of one notebook. When studying for exams, I'd like to open all my lecture notes at once to study, but I can only tediously open one at a time. Could you add a feature for you to select and open multiple notes at once? Thank you!

  16. Hello guys, I've been using both notability and goodnotes for over almost 2 years now and latelly notabilitu has been pulling appart, but over notability, gn still has the versatility of the app, but theres a tool that i use everysingle day and that it is soooo much better on notability than on goodnotes, thats not even fair.. it’s the hold to snap / auto shape tool. I know we already have the snap to other shapes feature, but that is basically useless unless you’re using straight lines.. I would like for you to implement some kind of powerfull shape…

  17. Imagine someone is writing in black paper with white pencil but he wants to print his notes. It would help if he could choose all the pages he wants to print and change both template of paper as well as the color of the pencil. Especially for the color there could be a choice that says change color A (specifically) to color B so as to not lose all other secondary colors.

  18. If you draw and hold a line or something else, it should snap to the paper like in notability it’s just time saving if you are trying to make a diagram.

  19. Sorry for the long title; I love the flashcard feature and use it every day in medical school and I am being able to study extremely effectively and learn the material while still having free time in my life.

But If I could select certain flashcards within a single document by marking them with a certain signal to allowing me to study the flashcards I made for the first lecture before I study the next classes flashcards which build off the first lectures material. And even allowing me to mark certain flashcards "VIP" cards that amalgamate from all the notebook's…

  20. If it was possible to import a document and then be scannable would be a godsend for those who need big chunks of text, are trying to look up words or are learning a language. Even those who need text to speech would be able to copy the scannable text and use it quickly.
