Indexing
Is there a way that GoodNotes can automatically generate an index. For instance, if you put text on a specific place of a page, the notebook would automatically index.

Admin Consent Framework
Hi Development/Support Team,
I have a requirement to register Goodnote as a third party application to access resources within Azure. Users like to use your application to create notes and want to backup notes created on GoodNotes and Notability into their OneDrive for business in Office 365.
Our Environment is secured and restricted for registration and use any third party application unless those applications are developed considering the Microsoft Admin Consent framework.
Please let us know if your application support the Azure AD consent framework and if so please share the required consent URL which could possibly provide us information…5 votes -

Allow to insert image from clipboard
We are already able to copy an image to clipboard with the lasso tool.
Would be great if we could insert that image later again.
At the moment we need to safe it to photos and insert it from there, which can quickly mess up our photos.5 votes -
Have a scrolling page, so you don’t have to move you hand, the page moves. Penultimate
Scrolling notes page. So when you are writing, you don’t have to move your hand, the page moves instead. Penultimate has this feature, but you overall app is much better.

layers
I think a layer feature would be incredibly useful for learning. With layers, I could organize content much more effectively: for example, I could draw or write something on one layer and place the explanation on a separate layer underneath.
From a learning perspective, this would be especially helpful because I could first work with the top layer on my own and then reveal the lower layer afterward to check the explanation or solution. That would make the learning process much more interactive and structured.
I have seen a similar function in Free Note, where you can use different layers…

update study sets
please update study sets
i use it a lot for studying but it’s so difficult to use, for example:- currently you cannot press the apple pencil barrel to automatically turn to eraser (!!!!)
- when zooming into top left corner, you cannot write because the undo button blocks it
- add template options - currently it’s only a blank card, it would be better if there were lines to write on (!!!!)
- allow copy and pasting individual flashcards
- study sets are so laggy and most of the time when i make a new flashcards and write on it, it does not show…

Grid spacing and ruler should follow standard measurements (2 squares = 1 cm)
I would like to suggest aligning the grid spacing and the ruler in GoodNotes with common measurement standards.
In many countries (for example in Europe), squared paper follows a standardized pattern where two squares equal exactly 1 cm. This standard is widely used in schools, universities, and technical work.
Currently in GoodNotes, however, two squares correspond to about 1.12 cm when measured with the built-in ruler. Because of this mismatch, the ruler becomes difficult to use for precise measurements or technical sketches. Lines drawn using the grid do not correspond correctly to real-world measurements.
This can be especially inconvenient for…4 votes -
Add a way to delete downloaded whiteboard templates from marketplace
You can repeatedly download whiteboard templates for some reason which caused my “imported from marketplace” section to be spammed with the same few templates. Would be great to have a way to delete them

[Fountain Pen] Lock Nib Angle
When using the fountain pen with Apple Pencil rotation enabled, users must constantly re-adjust their grip to keep the nib horizontal. Locking rotation forces a fixed default angle that often looks unnatural for a fountain pen.
Please add the option to lock the nib at a user-defined angle, for example by letting the user set the angle with a slider so the pen hits the page the same way every time. See image for example. This would greatly improve writing flow, style and comfort.

Ability to skew while cropping images.
It would be awesome if we could skew images taken with the app by adjusting the four corners of the rectangular crop independently similar to how microsoft lens works (please see attached photos for example). As it stands I am using that app and then importing the images I take of whiteboards and documents.

Number notebooks automatically/ Index
The option to add page numbers to the notebook in a selected font/size and to also add an Index/ Table of Contents that shows up within the document. Similar to how it is in word or other word processing Programs, just a bit simplified.
Basically the option to add the "outline" as a "table of contents page" within the note book and to show numbers on each page correspondingly.

text document
I love the idea of the text document, it creates a notetaking ability that is similar to one note. However, I would love for there to be more customization (font, spacing, drawing, etc) within this feature. ALSO I would love to be able to create class notebooks in which they are text document format but there is a separate menu within the notebook for each page. This was I can separate my notebooks by unit!

Support for Personal Server & NAS Backups (WebDAV / SMB / SFTP / HTTPS API)
Title
Feature Request: Support for Personal Server & NAS Backups (WebDAV / SMB / SFTP / HTTPS API)Body
I would like to suggest adding support for personal server and NAS-based backups in GoodNotes, in addition to the currently supported cloud services. Many users operate their own servers or NAS solutions (such as Synology, QNAP, or self-hosted servers) for data ownership, privacy, and long-term storage. Supporting standard protocols would allow these users to back up GoodNotes data more flexibly and securely.
Suggested supported protocols include:
WebDAV
SMB (Network Share)
SFTP
HTTPS-based API endpoints
Potential benefits of supporting personal server or…

Make "Text Docs" searchable
You recently introduced "Text Doc". I figured that text within these Text Docs is not searchable. You only find words used in the title of each Text Doc which is obviously limiting.
I am using iOs devices with iCould sync.4 votes -
Manually set pen rotation
An option to manually set the rotation of fountain pen tip. When you turn off the recognize pen rotation option, which is a nice feature, it sets in an oblique angle. It would be nice to be able to manually rotate the pen tip and set it whichever angle you want it.

Shape editing
Good afternoon, I am writing to tell you that I have been a goodnotes user for approximately 5 years. I am testing the new update you have made, and I have a negative comment. I wanted to tell you that I have found the control of the shapes a little uncomfortable. When selecting a line for example, the blue dots that appear at the ends to edit the shape are a little annoying. Previously (a few months ago), when you selected a shape, those dots reduced their size to the thickness (approximately) of the shape line, even when zooming in.…
