ability to type notes effectively
as of now, it’s a fairly standard text input box, but i’d love if we could have the functionality of Pages, where it’s already formatted for text

Shorten your current paper length
I currently „struggle“ a lot with this.
What I mean is, it would be nice if you are able to cut of the end of your paper. For example, in school you have to work on a task and write something down but the next task is a document. Then there’s a lot of space between the handwritten task and the document.
It would be great if you could be able to shorten the page and not just change the layout, because I often don‘t know in the beginning if I have to use a whole page or just a…2 votes -
keyboard echo
Add a keyboard echo so users can hear what they are typing.
Please consider (even if votes are not as high as other requests) as this would help low vision users. A student I work with would benefit greatly from this.

Overlapping lines/ grid onto any page
A feature that would allow you to put transparent lines/ grid over any page and can be added and removed when needed to assist with note taking. This would be incredibly helpful when annotating imported documents such as powerpoint slides. The feature would help people make their notes neat and tidy.

Automated scaling of pen size/width while zooming in or out
Add a feature, so that the pen size stays the same pixel amount, no matter how much the user zooms in, similar to how the rubber always looks like the same size.
I am so confused not to have found a lot of this request before, since i really get annoyed of not having this function.
Whenever i zoom in, in order to write something in a smaller space, i would really appreciate not having to change the pen width/size manually.Besides that i really like your App :)

shape resize
Once I draw a square or retangle it would be good to select that shape with the lasso tool and then be able to adjust the shapes size.

Add animal/veterinary science discipline for the Community
Animal/veterinary science does not fit within the biology or medicine categories as it is a separate field entirely. Would be nice to have a specific displine category to upload my notes to and would make it easier for others in this field to find and contribute notes.

Keep page-zoom when re-entering Goodnotes (Switching between apps and windows)
I would like to have GoodNotes keep the page-zoom as I had when I changed from GoodNotes to another app on my Ipad Pro. Now the page will zoom out again if I switch from GoodNotes to another app and back. Or if I switch between 2 GoodNotes windows

Please adapt to the fast scrolling features of iOS and iPad OS. Thank you!
I want GoodNotes to adapt to iOS and iPad OS by pressing the long scroll bar. As shown in the photo. In other Apps, I can press the scroll bar for quick scroll, but it is invalid in GoodNotes!
I'm quite surprised that this iOS system feature has been two years since iOS 13. GoodNotes is still not adapted, which has brought a lot of trouble to use. I hope it can be adapted as soon as possible, and the experience brought by a little improvement is huge! Thank you to GoodNotes team!

Backup individual folders
I LLLLLOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEE GOODNOTES. I use it daily in my professional career AND my personal life.
I NNNNEEEEDDDD an option to backup my professional notes to a separate storage than my personal. Please please please make it so that I can choose my professional folders to back up to a separate location than my personal notes. Thank you!

Notes bar when importing PDF
I would like to have an option of, when importing a PDF, adding a sidebar to write my notes on the documents I am reading. Writing over them is good but sometimes a sidebar would make it easier and more organized

Cornell template without lines

I'd like a Cornell note taking template without lines and that is more space efficient. The dimension for the Title seems a bit too large and unecessary for instance.
Most importantly, we should have the opportunity to change the paper template such that we can choose dotted or blank paper. This feature is no longer available on Goodnotes (but appears to have been previously).2 votes -
Ability to add PDFs on Mac to GoodNotes by sharing (using the share sheet) from Safari or Preview app
Craft, a Catalyst app, supports this. So does Books (Save to Books), etc.
