Deleting a file while it is open
Once we finish reading a PDF and want to delete it for good, we now have to go to the location (folder) of the file and delete. That is lot of work navigating to the actual location.

Delete highlights on multiple pages
it would be great if you could add this feature on the next update. Selecting multiple pages at once to delete highlighted or handwritten notes separately. I have multiple documents that I’ve highlighted and sometimes I would like to just delete the highlighted sections but then it would delete my pen notes and it’s tedious to use the erase for just highlights

Trackpad Scrolling Delay on Mac
When using the trackpad to scroll in GoodNotes on Mac, there seems to be a delay at the start. The scroll doesn’t begin immediately, and it feels like I have to move my finger a certain distance before the scrolling actually starts.

I'd love to have the option to toggle off the pop up window when clicking on hyperlinks leading out of GoodNotes. It would improve my workflow so much.

Synchronization between IPad and MAC
I usually type notes on my laptop using the text box setting. However if I make changes such as drawing, highlighting etc on the IPad it becomes slightly shifted when looking at it on the laptop. Thank you

Ruler position
Remember the last position of the ruler. So if I angle it at 90 degrees and then put it away, when I activate it again it is still vertical or in whatever past position I left it in

Toolbar position enhancement
I suppose that the toolbar could be further simplified. Also, the toolbar should be allowed to move to both the LHS and the RHS, it would be more convenient for changing the tool to use more rapidly when writing!! The position of it should be moved by the drag of our finger which make it easier to chance position instead of search for the bottom in the settings.

Set template for file names when exporting files via drag and drop
I use GoodNotes 6 to grade student papers just about anywhere and then export the graded pages to a shared Google drive folder per student via the iPadOS files app using a drag and drop motion from GoodNotes to the target folder. It’s very seamless and efficient!…

Notifications and schedules
My idea is when the teacher posts a new homework, the students can get a notification on their device. A follow up to this idea is we can get a schedule in the menu. The schedule can show us what homework we have, when it is due and which notebook it is located. In the schedule, students can also write their own dates (e.g. exams, quizzes etc)

Text Editing icon looks like "AI". Change to something unambiguous
When selecting handwritten text, there is this "A" with the text cursor icon which I often confuse with an "AI" function. I think that some other icon would be really helpful to avoid confusion.

发烫和延迟问题
尊敬的开发团队：
作为一名勤俭节约的男大学生，我最近狠下心花了一笔不小的开销买下了你们的GoodNotes，一开始真是欣喜若狂，但渐渐发现问题一个接一个，让我非常失望。最严重的问题就是 发烫。我的iPad Air 5从来没有在使用其他应用时发烫，除非在酷暑时没有空调。但只要一打开GoodNotes，特别是在开始写字、记笔记时，靠近磁铁的地方（我估计是芯片的位置）就开始发烫，甚至烫得厉害！这绝不是我设备的问题——无论在WPS、OneNote还是其他笔记应用上，我从来没遇到过这种情况，完全不发烫！
更让人无奈的是，这种发烫还带来了一系列问题，最明显的就是 延迟。即使设备烫手时，我用OneNote也从未出现过延迟，而你们这个收费应用居然连基础的流畅度都无法保障。OneNote免费、支持多平台适配，而GoodNotes价格并不便宜，却只服务于iOS用户，居然还出现这样的瑕疵！真的不敢相信，一个付费应用在用户体验上居然比免费软件还差。
希望你们不要回复一些诸如“重启设备”的解决办法。我买这个软件不是为了每天重启iPad，更不是为了把你们的产品当祖宗供着！重启治标不治本，真要是有用，我至于来这里投诉吗？软件收费也不少，好歹也让用户体验对得起价钱，不要只顾华丽的外表而忽视用户的基本需求。请解决这些问题！！！如果只会做华而不实的臃肿功能，而忽视软件的核心体验，那真的令人破防！

visible pencil tip and finger pointer in presentation mode
On the board, the students can see where I am going to change the text or continue writing, as well as what I am commenting on and pointing out with my other hand. This is what makes the blackboard so effective.
If you want to replace the blackboard with GoodNotes, this would also have to be made possible. Technically, I think this would be possible. In presentation mode, the tip of the writing tool can be displayed (even before writing, in hover mode) and other parts of the text can be marked with a finger, which can be commented on…

Having colour palettes like procreate and having them all link!
I believe it would be a lot easier if all colours were linked as this would mean that I don’t have to add colours I like using to the pen, pencil, highlighter, and text colours. I’d only need to add it once rather than twice.
It would also be good if we could have our own colour pallets similar to procreate as they can then be named, which makes it easier than scrolling through all the colours I have trying to find the colour I’m after as I’ve got so many colours now I’m easily loosing them! It could also…

Move page on background
Moveability of the virtual page on the virtual background would be a huge banger. Maybe even rotation to fit to the user natural hand allignment on the page.
Why?
I ALWAYS have that huge problem on the lower part of every page. Cant access it porperly because of the rim of my iPad. It gets worse with my confuguration because i have heavy duty case (work in industry) which thickens the iPad alot.
ofc I would have the same problem with normal paper or notebooks.. but we could have that option, right? :D

Count highlighted squares on graphs.
Many cross stitchers use Goodnotes to stitch downloaded pdf patterns and highlight the charts(graphs) to keep track of where they are and know what percentage they have completed. Many like to track stitch count (per stitching session and cumulative), so it would be nice if Goodnotes had this feature. Thanks for considering this suggestion.
