1. add an option to correct handwriting to make it neater

   my handwriting is quite inconsistent and i think it would be a cool idea to have good notes recognise the letter you are typing and change it to a selected ‘font’. i know that i could just type but i much prefer to write my notes because that’s how i memorise well but i find myself rewriting a word multiple times to just make it look nicer. you could also go a step further and allow users to create their own ‘fonts’. this way it would be corrected to be neater but it would still stay in their handwriting. i understand that it might not be able to recognise all mathematical symbols or some languages more detailed letters but personally, i think that this would work great for me.

2. Automatic Paper Color Switching in GoodNotes

   Current Situation
   As it stands, GoodNotes users have to choose between white or black paper at the beginning of a notebook, which stays fixed throughout. This setup has its limitations, particularly for those who frequently switch display modes to adapt to different environments.

   The Proposal
   What if GoodNotes could automatically switch between white and black paper when toggling between light and dark modes? This would be similar to how the iOS Notes app operates, where the paper color changes seamlessly with the mode. Notability also has a similar feature, and incorporating it into GoodNotes could enhance flexibility and usability.

   The Benefits

   1.  Streamlined Workflow: Users wouldn’t need to commit to a single paper color. This flexibility would improve usability for a variety of tasks and settings.
   2.  Assignment-Friendly: For students and professionals working on assignments, this feature would make it easier to work in dark mode (which is easier on the eyes) and then switch to light mode when submitting, ensuring the document is easy to read.
   3.  Enhanced User Experience: This addition would make GoodNotes more adaptable to user needs, making it feel more dynamic and modern.

4. CJIS

   I work for a local government entity and I have several investigators that purchased goodnotes to use for their investigations. Due to this product not being a CJIS approved (certified app) they are not allowed to install and use the application on their departmental ipads. Is there any plans to get your product CJIS approved.

5. Flashcard editing: allow use of the "zoom while writing" and "ruler" tool.

   As it was available in the previous GoodNotes version! I can NOT write neatly without the zoom tool. Why was this feature taken away? :( Also a ruler tool was introduced, but it is not available for flashcards… Again – WHY?
   I had perfected GoodNotes flashcards, now they are completely useless to me. :X
   PLEASE MAKE THIS TOOLS AVAILABLE!

6. Increasing hightliter size

   Currently, the maximum thickness of the highlighter is 7.7mm, but please increase it to 10mm.
   Even if I draw a highlighter on the 15pt letter written on the A4 paper size, it is inconvenient because the font is not completely covered at the moment.

9. Tree Expansion

   I work a lot with PDF-files (most DIN-A4 / Textbooks etc.)
   It would be great to have a horizontal expansion option (if you´re on vertical scroll)
   For an A4 vertical baseplate one could do a vertical expansion with a DIN-A page of another size. (also would not have to be DIN Normed could just be any page)

   It would be great for taking notes or adding additional information in textbooks.

   If one would work through a text book it would be easy to just select all the expansion pages and copy them into a separate Notebook. Particularly for summaries.

   The new Notebook could also have links to the original Page and expansion for the Textbook.

   When working with work sheets you could add a smaller page and wouldnt need to scroll up and down /switch tabs /open another window all the time.

   I also use the lasso tool with copy fairly often as I dont want to make stickers all the time for smaller projects. A small expansion sheet on the side would be a life altering experience to be honest as some sketch books of mine have whole Pages with just small notes or copy sketches.

10. Make it easier to work from a Laptop

    Fix bugs to make easier to type and work in the document with a laptop. For me the document is ALWAYS bugging (even after restarting everything), this includes: jumping a lot when scrolling, typing is very delayed and start to lag, adding pictures or even just going into "picture settings" takes very long due to lagging. I really love working with goodnotes and with the IPad everything always works perfectly! However, bugs in the macOS app makes it very hard. Thank you!

11. Switch between edit and read-only mode with keystroke or pencil tap

    Please add keyboard shortcut and pencil tap options to switch between edit and read-only. I use my iPad a lot with a keyboard or macro pad, and having a shortcut would make the experience so much better.

12. Make it compatible with MacOS 15.0.1

    When I try to install Goodnotes 6 from the AppStore on MacOS 15.0.1, it fails with the message "Macos 13.3 or later is required". From my point of view, 15 is newer than 13. You may have to extend the compatibility to current versions of MacOS.

    In dem Schreibmodus sollten die Seiten so miteinander verbunden sein, dass der Text automatisch auf die nächste Seite rutscht, sobald diese voll ist. Gerade bei Ergänzungen wäre es einfacher

19. Automatically Load new notebooks with lots of pages - rather than having to add them individually

    When you create a new notebook, it only loads with one page, and you have to go in and add new ones individually. Can you please add a feature where you can create a notebook with a preloaded number of pages (eg 100, 200 or custom) so that you don't have to add new ones every time?

20. Outlines of PDF (Books) are absent in Window PC version

    The current Windows version of GoodNote (my Version# 171116-rc20) surprisingly don't have outlines of the book while they are implemented in Macbook or ipad. I expect this to be a very simple feature request but quite useful for people browsing a book on GoodNote. I hope it could be added on as a new feature.
