Password protect

It would be great if you had an option to password protect a selected notebook in case you have to create one that would contain sensitive information.

Introducing Password Protection for your documents


To lock a document, tap on the context menu for the document in the library view and set a password. Anytime you try to open, export, duplicate, or delete the document, Goodnotes will ask you for the set password. If you’re using a device that supports FaceID or TouchID, you can use these instead of your password to unlock a document. Please note that you can have only one password that will apply to all locked notebooks and that Password Protection is only available in Goodnotes 6. Learn more


Update to version 6.4.2 in App Store to use Password Protection.

    I use GoodNotes in my classroom and love it! However, I have 100 student that have to share 25 iPads. Middle schoolers greatly enjoy sabotaging each other's work. I'd greatly appreciate a password feature for each notebook...possibly with an override feature. Too much to ask? Not for the geniuses behind this awesome app! ;)

    It would be kind if you could lock a single notebook or category with a short numeral password.
    This could be usefull in order to defend delicate notes.

    An option to lock access to the app (prevent damage from kid hands wanting to play a game or watch a movies) or/and access to specific notebooks (journal, diary, and confidential work notes)

    This is ESSENTIAL if you expect this to be used widely in the work environment. Please add this simple update to v.3 and v.4.

    There must be the ability for password protection of note, journals, ideas. Without it makes no sense

    I was surprised and disappointed when I bought this app and found it lacked this simple feature. Some of my writing is private but this app doesn't enable me to make it so.
