[Eraser] Customize Eraser Size
An ability to precisely select the eraser size rather than just a choice between three sizes (all of which are huge!) would be very helpful.
The standard sizes for the eraser are all very large and so even using the smallest means that part of the words above and below end up getting removed. I appreciate you can zoom in to get more precision, but it interrupts workflow and is not a speedy or efficient solution when trying to take notes of a live meeting and keep up!
The feature I am suggesting is already implemented in relation to the pen tool, where you have three default sizes for thickness but can customise and obtain exactly the size you want using a slider. It would be very helpful to have this for the eraser too.

This is something that gives me issues literally multiple times a day, the ability to do this would be incredible

The current smallest eraser size is still too big to make fine adjustments. Iād love to see the ability to set a custom size, like with the pencil.

Often when using the eraser, I find myself having forgot that I have selected a size too big and end up erasing too much. Therefore, it would be nice to preview the size of the eraser on hover, essentially the same way it is done in the native apps.

I only use the large eraser when I want to quickly erase a large portion of the screen. It would be great if, after I do that and select another tool, the eraser size would return to a default (which, in my case, would be the small eraser). As things stand now, I never think to reset the size. So, the next time I double-tap my Apple pencil to engage the eraser, it's still on large and I end up erasing tons of stuff I don't want to (this requires me to undo those changes and then change the eraser size).

auto-repositioning is annoying as hell when i tried to write on the edge of my note. sometimes i have to suspend my hand midair while writing, not comfortably resting on the surface iām writing on, since goodnote keeps repositioning the note, not letting me place the edge of note on the center of my screen. itās not like i canāt write with this, but itās a bad user experience.

The fact that we can zoom in and erase with more precision dispels the rumor that this is a limitation of the stroke vectors.
Apple Notes with the stroke eraser is a simple crosshair. This is ideal because you already get macro erasing by dragging the tool through the strokes, and precision when you need it. I use this all the time when Iām deleting something small like an exponent or the vertical line on a plus sign. Please add this!

It would be nice to add individually chosen pen/eraser sizes to the accoring toolbars, to have more options and have them available quickly

it would be helpful to be able to regulate the size of the eraser better, so more options than just 3

It would be nice to have more options for sizes of pen/ eraser thickness
Either with a slider or numerical (or at the very least 6-10 preset options)In my opinion the thick option now is to think to use in most cases and the thin is so thin that slight shakyness while writing is very visible. Medium i already find to be a bit to thick to write a lot and in smaller size.

Slider to adjust eraser size and also for pen and pencil size. Speech to text integration and also handwriting to text recognition.
While pinch in zoom inside the textbook, the pages should view in grid to easily jump to another page.
Drag and drop pages should be considered in the notebook to easily move the page to desired place.

Having the ability to choose preferred eraser size just like how we can change the pen size. Sometimes the larger eraser is too large and sometimes the small eraser is large when erasing small details.

I agree with this topic.
I think GoodNotes 5 is a great application. Thanks for more applications! I use it every day.
It is a great application, but there is one thing I would like to see improved. That is I would like to set the size of the eraser in detail.
I have been using GoodNotes 5 for notes and idea sketching. The eraser tool is very important when I do detailed descriptions in my sketches.
However, currently, I am having trouble with the eraser because it only comes in three sizes and they are large. I am having trouble with the eraser because it erases even the lines that I need.
Out of necessity, I now use Procreate to draw my sketches. But I really want to draw with GoodNotes 5. If I can customize the eraser size in detail, that hope will be fulfilled.
GoodNotes 5 is great in that it can be managed by directories and lines can be drawn as vectors. So I want to use GoodNotes.
I hope for improvement. Thank you very much.

Have more sizes for the eraser that we can change and save.

Every time I select the eraser tool, it defaults to the largest size. So I end up erasing more than I want to, and then have to undo accidental erasures and then set the eraser to smaller size. I should be able to set the smallest eraser as default size to begin with. I love Goodnotes, but erasing is so common, this is getting to be an important usability issue.

I think there should be more variety allowed when it comes to the eraser size. We shouldn't only have 3 sizes to choose from. I would prefer a slider, like that of the pen and highlighter tools, which allows us to get more specific sizes.

There are three different sizes of erases to choose. It would be great to change the size, so that I can erase very small written things.

Notability has the feature of partial erase that erase by pixel rather than in blocks as GoodNotes has. This is important to people who draw their notes and make cartoons or diagrams.
In GoodNotes, the eraser sizes are limited to three, and the smallest is way too large while the largest is too small.
In GoodNotes, if I am erasing partially, the stroke is erased block by block and this prevents accurate erasure. It should work as accurately as the pens do.

This is just a nonsense to not be available.. all we need is the exact same thing as the pencil stroke thickness, but for the eraser..
Simple as that, the same 3 quick eraser sizes/thickness, but with the ability to customize those sizes, plzzzz... its 2020 and its a "simple" feature
