[Toolbar] Hide Toolbar / Reduce Toolbar Space
It would be a lot more useful to make more writing space and less distractions if the tab and document bar would be hidden while writing, I only need the tools bar, not the other bar, it only occupies useful space.

Agreed. Lots of UI steal, especially on iPad Mini, it occupies 10-15% of the space. The space becomes really tight even if the Status Bar is hidden. Toggling this would make things much nicer.

most of the time i'm just using the app to annotate or write on one document, there should be a toggle for turning the tabs on or off based on user preference.

It’s just a waste of space and source of distraction

This would be incredible! Please implement this as soon as it's feasible! Having the extra space would make graphing and note taking immensely easier

This! Please add this feature! There is a planner I bought from the marketplace that would look amazing if I didn’t have the toolbar in the way. Plus, I’m using an iPad mini and it would just make more sense to be able to hide it.

I love using Goodnotes for studying and working, but I wanted to suggest a small feature that could really improve focus. On iPad, the status bar (with the time, battery, etc.) stays visible at the top while using the app. Personally, seeing the time constantly adds pressure and anxiety, especially during deep work or study sessions.
It would be amazing if there were an option to auto-hide the status bar, similar to how Notability does it when opening the app. This small change would really help users like me stay focused and less distracted.

they want a subscription and cant even display a basic page without an ugly toolbar on all the time, no way. Going to Notability or FreeNotes

Please add a button on the toolbar to hide the navigation and tabs bar while editing. These bars occupy a significant amount of screen space and aren't necessary during the document editing process. Their large size can be distracting and reduces the available workspace. I really enjoy using Goodnotes, but this issue might force me to consider switching to another app if it remains unresolved.

Please add a button on the tool bar to hide the nav bar and tabs bar. The nav bar and tabs bar takes a lot of space and they're not needed when I'm editing a document. It's annoying how the 2 big bars take up precious screen space. I love Goodnotes, but I unfortunately would have to switch to another app if this issue is unsolved.

the dock menu at the top takes up a sixth of the space there is and it's really stupid because you can't hide it either. If this feature doesn't get added, I think I'm just gonna move over to notability. I can't believe there isn't an option for this, this shouldn't even be a big issue.

In the past you blended out the tab bar if there is only ONE notebook open. this was good because it did not distract me as I was writing.
Could you please reactivate that? Or better bring an option where the tab bar can be hidden. Like a button or something? -

You should be able to have the highlighter or pen tool selected for example, and then click a little button to hide the tool bar so that you can read without distractions but still underline and highlight text.

For the price pad for Goodnotes one time payment, I was stunned that it did not have a hide all toggle! Makes this impossible to use for digital notebooks or planners as you design them in your iPads screen size only to find goodnotes can’t use it, it has bars everywhere you can’t get rid of. A toggle that when tapped makes the, all vanish unless you tap the reaper toggle that sits in a corner. Like Noteful or Noteshelf 3 have as standard yet they cost a fraction of the price. I am starting digital creation and as most recommend goodnotes I saved up to buy it only to find its major flaw makes it far inferior to cheaper apps. Shocked. And very disappointed. Such a simple tool to hide all, or in settings have a “what do you want to stay put option. Having multiple menu bars and status bars and not allowing the user to use the full screen size really detracts from goodnotes, so much so I’m really dismayed I paid so much for this app.

Exactly! It just needs to be an option that users can toggle between, perhaps alongside the reader view that’s already present. A more compact toolbar would make it easier, especially on the iPad mini and 11 inch iPads, to see more content on screen, and thus avoid zooming in or using the zoom window as much. I think a floating toolbar design could be cool, and maybe it could just hold tools that the user chooses to favorite. Especially now with the new squeeze gesture on the Apple Pencil pro, the entire toolbar permanently at the top of the app has become a little redundant for Apple Pencil pro users.

Option to temporarily and quickly Disable the Top Tabs. In a way... like the toggle to go from View to Edit Mode and back. Basically need a button to press... to turn off the tabs. Pressing the button again will turns the tabs back on.
I am left-hander. Apparently, I also "write-up-side-down". See Image.
Because of this.. my palm constantly hits the tabs - and the notebook will changes. This happens all the time. Everyday. Multiple times a day.

The fact that it’s even bigger now in GoodNotes 6 is mind blowing. I paid for GN6 and it’s almost worth switching back to Notability and paying the yearly fee because my documents fill the screen, and they have grouping/aligning features which are desperately needed for Notetaking.
