[Toolbar] Hide Toolbar / Reduce Toolbar Space
It would be a lot more useful to make more writing space and less distractions if the tab and document bar would be hidden while writing, I only need the tools bar, not the other bar, it only occupies useful space.

You want educators to use Goodnotes, right? An educator says: let me be in control of what my screen looks like (think about recording lectures on an iPad). As anonymous above says, ther is every reason to allow annotating with both bars invisible.

I think like PowerPoint, it'd be good to be able to collapse the purple toolbar (that sits above the pen tools). It honestly takes up a lot of vertical space and is unnecessary for the entirety of a notetaking session.
We normally don't need to access the notebook name, tabs, recording, share, etc. immediately and therefore it is a waste of space for it to be visible sometimes.
It should be easily collapsed, and some essential tools like back and forward could be moved to the writing tools row that should be the one to only show.
On an 11" iPad Pro, removing this row might finally allow you to actually see an entire A4 document nearly edge-to-edge (excluding the writing row)

I have currently switched to goodnotes from notability. The problem I am facing in Goodnotes is, while writing my palm touches the bottom navaigation bar (big bar to naavigate to home screen and recent apps) and the pen doesn't work while my palm touches the bar. It happens quite happen. And it is creating very disturbance for me.
In notability, while the pen is active and writing is on, the navigation bar stops rendering touch and it fades as pen is working on the screen.
So my request is, Please add the feature to auto hide the bottom navigation bar of the similar feature that I have been using. This would be a great help

I use GoodNotes daily in landscape and the toolbar takes up nearly 20% of the screen.
A piece of paper doesn't have a toolbar, and already has much more area than an iPad screen.
I want to click an arrow to bring it down when I need it as a lot of the time I don't.
Please implement this as soon as possible so I can get the most out of this brilliant application. Thanks.

This template helps with prose journaling holding the tablet in the opposing hand so you can create three points of contact all the way down the page. Sucks for printing though.

I like a simple, minimal, clean, and concentrated UI. So I think if GoodNotes can provide a function that I can one tap on the screen to hide all the tool panel, just leave the canvas there. Then this would be very great!

Adobe enables this too. Goodnotes, please please please react to this customer feedback. There's literally more than a dozen posts requesting this feature. Such a shame that it's taking so long to reflect (or even react to) repeated customer feedback. People have been asking for this the past 3-4 years. Come on...

This is the single biggest issue I have with goodnotes. Apparently this idea has been suggested since 3-4 years ago. Why isn't this getting the attention it deserves?

Agreed. I see that this idea has been suggested since 2019. What are we doing GOODNOTES!!!!

It's 2022 and there are still users like myself who are voting for this idea!

Yes, Can you please make it so that the toolbar and the navigation bar can be minimize or folded so it takes up less space? This is the biggest issue with GoodNotes right now and a lot of users agree.

The extra menu bars and tab names just take up much needed screen real estate specially on the budget ipads with not so huge screens. While reading a book, the most i need is just my tool palette so i can highlight occasionally. Other things are just distracting and rarely needed!

Don’t know why this problem isn’t getting much attention. It is one of the major issues I have faced using GoodNotes 5.

I want to hide the status bar in iPadOS 15 for screen work space.
In the previous iPadOS 14, I was able to hide the status bar, so I could use the screen space largely, but I can't hide it after I turned 15, so it's a little inconvenient. -

Basically add an option where you could hide the toolbar, tabs and top menu to allow for a full screen note taking experience. Right now the toolbar is useful, sometimes, but extremely big as it takes up like 20% of the screen which does not feel very modern.
Could add a small toggle for this pretty easily. -

Hide bar showing the multiple files when I’m editing one specific file. Request: When I wanna switch, I’ll click the screen and call upon that bar to switch between files. Pictorially explained in photo.
