[Audio Recording] Export and Share Audio Recordings
Now that audio recording is available, you also need to add functionality to allow the audio to be exported out of the note as a separate mp3. I use this function on another note-taking program so that I can have the audio transcribed. I can't use Good Notes for my job until this is possible, so I'm staying tuned to see if this is added in the future. Not sure if other people are this specific. Adding this and voting for all the suggestions that are close to this idea.

I would like to request a feature that allows users to share only the audio recording from a note, without sharing or exporting the entire document or written notes.
For example, being able to export or share a voice recording as a standalone audio file (such as .m4a) directly from within a note.
This would be very useful for students and teachers who want to share explanations, lectures, or voice notes separately, without exposing the full written content.

1. I would like a dedicated section for all audio recordings linked in one area instead of only being able to hunt them down in a bunch of different folders. Also provide a pathway to show where the audio was stored.
2. Option to select a specific audio instead of just the running audio.
3. Easier way to export audio -

Ok, for this, the existing features are: skip 10 sec, sidebar, transcribe, live(recorded) edit
I just want more features: export audio, and fast forward with options (x2, x3, x.5, etc)

I would love this. I record a lecture or symposium and would like to share the audio with friends/family.

I think this is a great idea! I often find myself recording audio in languages that Good Nodes doesn’t support for transcription, and being able to export just the audio would save a lot of time. I also send audio clips to people through WhatsApp or email, so having an easy way to grab just the audio without the whole node would be super helpful. I’d love it if there were options to trim or label the audio too, just to make it more versatile. It’d definitely improve my workflow!

I can’t believe the request is from 2023… come on guys! This is standard in Notability… and most other apps in 2025

Use Case for Audio Export:
1. Transcription in Unsupported Languages:
• Currently, Good Nodes does not support transcription in all languages. I often record audio notes in a language not available for transcription within Good Nodes, and I’d like to send those audio clips to a third-party service or app that can handle that specific language.
2. Sharing Audio Excerpts Easily:
• When collaborating on projects or discussing ideas, I often want to share just the recorded audio (without text or other node content). This allows me to easily send a short note to someone via WhatsApp or iMessage without needing the entire node’s details.
3. Versatile Reuse of Audio Files:
• Audio files could be reused in presentations, included in podcasts, or archived in external storage solutions. By allowing direct export, we could seamlessly integrate Good Nodes audio in other workflows.Proposed Implementation Details:
• Add an Export Audio Only button or menu option within the node’s settings or context menu.
• Allow export in common formats (e.g., MP3, M4A, WAV) so that external transcription services and messaging apps can easily handle the file.
• (Optional) Provide basic audio trimming or labeling before export, so users can extract only the relevant clip.Thank you for considering this feature request. Being able to export audio-only files would improve flexibility, collaboration, and overall workflow for many users.

First, thank you for the wonderful work you’ve done creating and maintaining Good Nodes. The app has been extremely helpful for capturing and organizing my ideas. I have a suggestion that would greatly enhance my workflow and likely benefit other users as well:
Request:
Please add an option to export only the audio tracks from a node.Use Case / Motivation:

Please make an option to export or share the audio recorded on the app. This would be really helpful to also have the audios on the cloud.
Thank you -

1. Fixing Images in Place : Currently, selecting images with a finger causes the image to move while writing on it. This makes it difficult to work with images. Allowing users to fix images in place would greatly improve usability.
2. Exporting and Importing Audio Clips : It would be very helpful if users could export audio clips and import them from external sources. -

It would also be extremely useful if we were able to clip the length of an audio recording if we accidentally left it on for a while!

Exactly! I expected that the UI where you click the waveform icon to see all the audio recordings within your document is where you can swipe left and get a button to export and a button to delete the audio. Instead we only have a delete button, why!?!?

Please give play speed options
+ being able to go to specific time in audio by written notes like with notability
+ being able to export audio -

Please add the ability to export audio from the note-taking separately. It would greatly improve GoodNotes and is currently available in the Notability app.

also, it would be much more useful that in the time bar it is shown just the current playing record, so that it is easier to find a certain spot in a record. It is crucial expecially for those, like me, who records many long lectures for a single notebook

I love this new feature added to GoodNotes 5. It can become better by:
1. Syncing the page with the audio, which is by showing the number of the current page in which the recording is being played.
2. Adding the ability to Rename the Audio Files.
3. Adding the ability to export the Audio Files.
4. Recording pixel by pixel which results in smoother writing when recording is replayed. -

The addition to recording on GoodNotes is fantastic, I have used it so much recently. However, the audio files are linked to the entire notebook with just the date and length. I want to attach it to just one page, or one section, and the ability to name and export the audio files is necessary.
Having to dig through all the audio files to find the one I'm looking for is very inefficient and defeats the purpose of recording while taking meeting notes.
