Ruler
Please add a ruler with cm skala so architects and other students can easiele create plans at the appropriate scale
Hello,
The Ruler tool is available on Apple, Android, Windows, and Web platforms.
With the Ruler, you can draw perfectly straight lines in Goodnotes. When you select the Ruler tool, a ruler appears on the current page to help guide your strokes. Simply draw along the edge of the ruler, and the ink will snap to it automatically.
With the Ruler tool, you can:
- Choose between centimeters and inches
- Set the angle
- Adjust the position of the ruler
The Ruler tool is located in the Accessories menu. If you use it frequently, you can customize your toolbar and add it to the main toolbar for quicker access.
Read here for more details about the tool.

Have mathematical tools like the ruler, protractor, compass, divider, set square etc. For math students as holding a compass or divider over the ipad would damage the screen.

Is it possible to create a ruler to help draw lines at any angle at controlled length? And to measure the size of an object in the PDF file? I use goodnotes to review civil drawings since confinement. Thanks in advance!

Goodnotes is already great for teaching, but Mathjax support in text boxes would be a huge improvement for me. Now I hace to write equations somewhere else and paste them as images.

Im talking like a quick pull coordinates graph, rulers, ability to type equations, make tables, and most importantly a much better shape recognition (it is tough to achieve since GN5 uses vector instead of pixels and this can be solved by making a shape menu that you can drag and drop into the page)
Also, I would die for a "dublicate" option in the menu like in notability instead of having to copy and paste every single time!

Labeled ruler [pixels,cm,inches], Drafting Compass, Rotation without scaling , Scaling without rotation, Degree of rotation, Different types of dotted lines, line connector, intersection, LaTeX equation insertion.
Or at the very least, some of those... We engineers, physicists and mathematicians need it so bad...

This can be added through Webkit support of Swift language through MathJaX or KaTeX, please consider carefully.

I would like to have it too. I didn’t vote because my votes has finished for the day.

Using GoodNotes to perform surveys of buildings, if it were possible to obtain measurements from the drawings it would be possible to do very quick checks

Pen, pencil, marker etc, the basics, have a look at the apple notes, it provides the basics plus a ruler for drawing functions/graphs, tables. I Just purchased this app and pissed off/disappointed to be honest. One may ask why do we even need markers or a pencil when it’s digitalised notes.... well user experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a teacher, it'd be really helpful to have a pencil compass. There isn't a good iPad app for teaching geometry and I have been using Goodnotes to teach my algebra class!

would love to see more mathematics tools such as a ruler, a pencil compass, a real life scale on the paper, and maybe even a calculator within the app. Maybe a calculator you can move on the screen or click it with your finger to summarize an easy equation? I bought an iPad intending to only use your app for all of my notes when I go into college now, but unfortunately I do not see myself using this app for mathematics just yet. Pie charts, gifs and videos in the notes would also be very helpful. (I could for example film how my teacher did an equation or a lab experiment and simply paste it into my notes) it would also be very nice to have the opportunity to use premade symbols in your notes like arrows etc.

Hello
I bought goodnotes an I love this app! I plan to use this app and my Apple Pencil at school. But exactly for this I am missing a small but important extra: a ruler with centimeter information
