This! Very critical and I think Goodnotes NEEDS this. The Apple Pencil delay is almost unbearable compared to on the Notes app.

Agree with this so much. I've been using Goodnotes for 6 years now and I'm so frustrated that they still don't have more pen styles. I switched to digital notes to save paper and space but I still love the feeling of writing on actual paper. I have custom nibs, a paper-like magnetic screen, and realistic paper templates in hopes to emulate writing on real paper. But the current pen styles do not help at all, especially the solid edges and color. I really hope Goodnotes will add more pens soon, such as a lead pencil and a pen with parallel tip. I'm switching to a different app until they add this feature.

I have both Goodnotes and notability — I love the pencil feature on notability but I wish we had it on Goodnotes. It gives my documents more of a real feeling and makes my handwriting look nice.

I trial upgraded from GN5 to GN6 hoping to see the graphite pencil... No pencil and I could not see a reason to continue with GN6. I have now switched to CollaNote. If the graphite pencil ever gets included with GN, I might return to using it. I'd also like to see handwriting stabilisation added to GN (like in CollaNote).

There are features that I really like in GN which are not in CollaNote, but the pencil is a deal breaker for me.

I hope the "pencil" function is added among the good note pen functions as shown in the picture.

A gre y pencil would be perfect for drawing diagrams, graphs,... instead of using a ballpoint Pen. I hope you’ll soon remedy this problem. Because the gray pencil is vital.

I would love to see a pencil feature and be able to change the hardness from 9Bto 9H. As well as pressure sensitivity. And a smudge tool for shadows.

I think you should take a look at the notes app. They have some pretty fire pencils.

The pencil in Apple Notes (lead Pencil) imho is the best writing tool as - at least for me - makes a clear and good readable typeface. Even Notability now has added a pencil (which is good but also not as good as the one Apple has) please stay the best notes app by adding also a pencil that makes users happy.

Goodnotes needs to add a pencil function along with increased pen textures to the app. I think looking at procreate pens would be good to understand all the different textures there could be for pens and pencils.

A pencil tool would be great for sketching and markups… many of us love that traditional look and it’d compliment the look of our notes, especially for scientific or mathematical diagrams.

As popular as this app is im really surprised at how limited the pen/drawing/painting tools are. I like to draw and paint pictures with my notes. Hate to have to go to another app just to do that. If there are more tools this would be my go-to for everything.
