Custom folder colors! I’m happy to have different colors to pick from, but I would love to use a color wheel for more colors like orange or different shades!

Thank you so much for sharing your suggestion! We're happy to let you know that custom folder colors is now live, with the latest Goodnotes update on Apple devices.

You can now choose any color for your folders using a full-spectrum color picker. Simply tap a folder, select Customize Color, and pick your preferred color from the color palette — or enter specific HEX values for precise color matching.

    This would be fantastic! Much easier to navigated, places like google drive use this. It would be even better if we had the option of patterns, like book covers or to customise with images to title these folders.

    I am enjoying the app but am missing an option to change the color of folders. It would also be helpful if there is an option for the title to show up in the middle of the icon of the folder if desired. Thank you!

    yes -- different colored folders, as well as potentially having the option to add images or emojis in the folders would help with more easily navigating the folder organization. it wouldn't be too hard to implement, either.

    This would be brilliant and much better to organise folders a step further would be different templates. But I’ll settle for the colour change first of all.

    Please give us the option to do this! The appeal of customizable notebook covers is so that we can identify what we need at a glance. It’s unfortunate that we can’t do the same with the folders. At the very least, it would be nice to be able to change the color. Best case scenario: also let us add an image if we’d like more than a blank folder.

    Yes please consider this! Different color folders or even different designs for folders kind of like how the notebook cover templates would be so awesome!
