Zoom window
The latest update has the zoom window and the audio features hidden within a drop down. Since the spell check and other lasso features don’t work while the zoom window is active, it’s important to have easy access to toggle between a zoom window on/off.

[Toolbar customization is live!]
Thanks everyone for your contributions and feedback on the new toolbar customization feature.
With the latest 7.0.14 update, you can now customize the toolbar and add the Zoom Window to the main toolbar!
Here’s what else you can customize in your toolbar:
- Show only the tools you need: Hide or unhide tools from the main toolbar.
- Arrange your most-used tools: Drag and drop tools to reorder them.
- Customize the Writing Tools panel: Show or hide writing tools and change their order with drag and drop.
- Add more tools to the main toolbar: Include Zoom Window, Time Keeper, or Ruler.
- Move the floating menu: Drag the Shapes or Writing Tools floating menu to any screen edge—top, bottom, left, or right—to snap it into place.
- Revert to the default layout: Restore the original setup anytime.

It not being on the toolbar makes the feature almost unusable, which means switching to notability, I guess.

I am frustrated by the same thing. The zoom window is THE key feature that keeps me using goodnotes. Without it, y handwriting is unreadable. I may be in search of a new notes app.

Bring back the zoom window icon in the main toolbar!! I always use the zoom window on GN5 and now I finally upgraded to GN6 and it took me a long time to find zoom window. Why is it hidden!! Bring it back! And if we can customize the bar, you should let us put everything up there!

Why did it move. It used to take just 1 click to use it. Now its 2 clicks. either you hold down and select zoom, or press the recording folder on the toolbar and click from the drop down. Incredibly small but incredibly inconvenient.
Honestly, new features are cool, but overall, it just became more frustrating.

AGREED. Don’t know why it was even moved in the first place. The lasso tool and zoom window are the single most used tools in good toes besides ink and colour for me. I really hope they put it back as it has seriously messed with my ability to write efficiently.
I’m all for toolbar customization, but if it’s such a thing the devs want to work on and adjust they should just make it fully adjustable and customizable per individual user preference instead of changing something for everyone.

Toggling the Zoom window is about the most frequent thing I do in Goodnotes. I can't believe you've moved the relevant button to a dropdown! Please bring it back as a button next to the others now!!

The latest update has been the bane of my existence. I still can't find the zoom window without having to hold the page and click zoom. We need to be able to easily toggle on/off. And if we can have the option of going back to the previous version because this update has ruined my note-taking experiencing.

YES 🙌 Agreed!! I always use the zoom window when writing anything since I write neater that way. I notice many digital creators use the zoom window constantly as well, especially the ones who have made Goodnotes popular so I’m not sure why they would tuck it away and make it difficult to use. Just let us customize the tool bar how we want since we know which tools we reach for the most.

I use zoom window to write everything. I frequently use lasso to move things around the page and close the zoom window to draw graphs or other things. With the new update, I either need to open the menu and then click the zoom window or press down to open it. There are times where I'm in class and I need to write quickly and it slows me down more than I thought.
Making the menu/tools customizable so that I can move the zoom window back to the top again would help so much.

Please move the Zoom Window feature icon back to its previous location on the Toolbar. After the most recent app update, the icon was moved all the way to the right on the Toolbar where the user has to swipe left in order to access it. Not only did this make it hard to find at first, it is highly inconvenient having to swipe left on the Toolbar every time I want to use the feature.

The zoom window used to be in the tool bar, but now the only way I can access it is to double click the Apple Pencil 2 and then I have to scroll through the tools to get to it. I open and close the zoom window a lot and not having it in the tool bar, makes it cumbersome and it takes too long … please put it back.
