The zoom tool is arguably the most important tool when writing lots of text.
some frequently used actions are :
- Change color
- Change to pencil, pen, highlighter, eraser, straight lines and shapes

Right now, once needs to scroll all the way to the top and do this every time, which is cumbersome and very inefficient.
Also, the zoom toolbar has valuable real-estate that is empty. Why not use that for user benefit ?

Older version of Goodnotes had this ability. Not sure why this was removed.
This is a critical update for every user using handwriting.
I hope Goodnotes can prioritize this fast.

Highly recommend adding tools to the zoom window. Your competition has had this feature for a decade. See attached.

Add a mini toolbar when the zoomed function is being used. This will allow us to quickly switch between three or more multiple tools without having to reach up to the menubar to do so.
The recommended tools are: pen, eraser, highlighter and maybe the shape tool.

Totally agree with that idea.

Voting for the same, this thing is driving me crazy on an iPad 12".

Ideally I'd like to be able to custom my own zoom window toolbar but failing that, I'd most like to see the auto shape / draw line icon in the zoom window as I use it a fair bit and find it a pain to constantly move back and forth from the top toolbar. But if people could customise their own toolbar everyone would be happy as all their most used icons could be nearest to them :)

It would be great if we could add more colors / tools to the zoom window toolbox. Right now there's a lot of free space that could better be put to use. Sometimes with complex equations it helps to have more than three colors available, but having to pick a new color all the time dissuades this.

Adding the shapes tool and others. As a student with classes in physics and calculus I use the shapes tool frequently and there's a delay in my efficiency when I have to leave my sight line in the zoom window to go up to the main toolbar.
