Changing Default Font TextBox
After the latest update, I can’t find a way to set a default font and size for the textbox, unlike before when you can just click the icon and store the current font and size as default. Right now, every time you add a textbox, you have to start typing from blue, size 10, Modern font and change it manually.

In the new documents, we need to be able to change the font size to make it larger for those of us with visual diffficulties.

Used to be allowed to choose what color you set as the default for font with typing and now you can't. Makes it hard to stay up to date with note taking because i constantly have to highlight the text and then change the color

I’m currently using GoodNotes 7.0.1. Since the upgrade from GoodNotes 6, the font that was active at the time of the upgrade has become permanently stuck as the default for every new text box. There is no way to reset or change this default anymore.
This is a general issue: whatever font you had selected in GoodNotes 6 (Times New Roman, Arial, etc.) is now locked in as the default in GoodNotes 7. In my case it’s even worse, because it happened to be a custom fantasy font, which makes the problem especially impractical.
Please restore the ability to set and save a new default font, or at least add an option to reset the default. This should be treated as a top priority, since it affects all users and seriously disrupts the workflow.

My default font isn’t working and it is really annoying.
Every time I wanna use my default font (KaiTi with specific font size and colour), it will always revert back to “modern”.And it will glitch whenever I try to type. It is super annoying and started to affect my work.
Can somebody/ tech team in Goodnotes help to fix this?

i agree😭 I use the text tool many times on Mac, but the color keeps reverting to black. Even though I created my own preset and removed black from it, it still reverts to black.🙄🙄🙄 If the text tool could default to the first color in the preset like pen tool, it would be much more convenient.

Agreed I often use the text boxes for note taking and I like using colors that aren't already a preset. I type everything in black but when I change the text color of specific terms, it changes the whole color of the text box which then I have to go back and make it black again. It would be tedious to make a separate text box just to change the color and being able to make your own text color presets would be much easier. I don't want to have to keep putting the hex code for the color I want. At least it should have a separate bar of colors you used recently.

It should be possible to set what you want your default text font to be; for example, right now the default text font is”Helvetica Neue”, but I always use the font “Chalkboard SE, so instead of changing it everytime i make a new text box, I can have it as an automatic default so that im not going in to change it each time! This would save me SO much time, and I feel as though this could be a beneficial feature for the app!

Please make the font type and size a preference setting at least. It would be nice to have it default to last used.

When saving my text default I’d like “centered” to save as well instead of always going back to left justification

You can reset text box defaults. Put the iPad in landscape mode, switch to the text box tool, set your settings, and tap the T with the heart next to it.

While filling out forms one uses the text box tool many times. The default font size should be of the size used in the last text box, and not 24 every time, so that the user doesn’t have to change it every time as per the need.

As of Dec 2020, there is a set as default option if you click the text icon.

I’m having a similar issue with the default text color. There are 3 options on the tool bar, but when I start to type with text it always reverts to the same blue color. Whether I change the color before or after I tap the screen to begin typing, it most of the time reverts to blue. SOMETIMES it will be the color I choose, but there doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to when that happens.

I have trouble changing the color of text. Usually I have to write the text in black, highlight, and then change to whatever color I want. Sometimes I need to repeat this 3 or 4 times to get the color to change. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all. Perhaps its a bug, but it would be great if you could change the default color of text and didn’t have to repeat this process every time.
