Revert shape resize to what it was in the Goodnotes 6 version.
Now, when the shape snaps, you can't edit its dimensions by dragging your pen, it only resizes larger or smaller. This is an issue because I have to change the tool to the shape tool to change the dimensions, and this has a minimum width. Goodnotes 6 had a good system where the shape snapped and then you could drag your pen to change the width/height of the box rather than just scaling it up or down.

You make a great point — the new resize limitation in Goodnotes 7 feels like a downgrade from the smoother control in Goodnotes 6. Having the freedom to adjust shapes by dragging your pen made designing and organizing notes much easier. Hopefully, the team reintroduces that feature in an upcoming update.
It’s a bit like browsing the Checkers menu with prices — you want options that fit your needs, whether it’s a small snack or a full meal deal. Just like Checkers gives you the flexibility to choose from combo meals, double deals, or value boxes ( https://check-menuprices.com/checkers-deals/ ), Goodnotes should let users choose how they resize and shape their content for a more personalized experience.

Yes!! I agree 100%
Not having the ability to completely change the size of the shape has made goodnotes practically unusable for me. Every time I get the top of my rectangle lined up, the bottom extends too far and can’t be moved into the correct position.
