[Toolbar] Support Customization

Bring back the option to customise the toolbar. I see a recent update has partially returned this feature (allowing to customise the main toolbar options), but this needs to carry over to each toolbar options (pen, pencil, highlighter, etc). Allow reorganising the squeeze pop up menu. This is meant to help streamline productivity, but now having my most used tools all over the place, I’m wasting time scrolling to find them.

[Toolbar Customization is live for Android, Windows and Web 🎉]

Hello,

We're happy to let you know that Toolbar Customization is now live for Android, Windows and Web apps.


For iOS users, this feature has been available since the November 2025 release — and now we’re excited to bring the same flexibility to more platforms.

You can now customize your toolbar in Notebooks and Whiteboards by hiding or showing tools, and reordering them to match your workflow.


Access Toolbar Customization from the Accessories Overlay or from Document Settings (in Notebooks).

    Toolbar editor so you can remove certain tools to make room for more colors or line thicknesses or vice versa

    We need more quick color selection in the toolbar right now. It’s so awful with only 3 colors now

    A use a few colors when writing notes. It would be hugely helpful to have up to maybe 6 color dots. Please see sample.

    Exactly and there is so much room on the right side that an additional 2 colors won't even make difference.

    100% agreed. It's insanely annoying having to switch colours around when notating, 3 isn't enough. Ability to save presets would be very welcome, I use different colours/tools/sizes depending on what I'm noting, and colour of handouts I recieve.

    Just being able to slide the dividers around to make space for the other categories would be appreciated

    Totally support some ways to customize toolbar, like I don't need 3 pen sizes but I need 5 colors in the least.

    I fully agree with the comments below. It would make us more efficient if we're able to hide the tools we do not normally use, reorder the tools, and increase the space for switching pen color and other customizations.

    I would like to have more than 3 colors for highlighting visible in the toolbar.

    There should be a way to toggle on and off the different icons we see in our toolbar at the top of GoodNotes. I never use the Text Box Style button and it is extremely inconvenient to have to keep maximizing my page when I want to change the Text Styling Default.

    Please make it so that we can slide across the toolbar when some icons are hidden when viewing in multiple windows.

    Also please add a paint bucket and pixel color picker eyedropper tool!

    It would be so nice to be able to fill something in without having to have different colored layers when coloring with the highlighter!

    Also please make it so that we can choose from premade shapes and be able to drag from the corners to resize however we want.

    Please make it an option to "rotate" or "flip" things selected in the lasso tool. I can only change the orientation with the "resize" option but I do not want the text or picture to get bigger or smaller!

    Please make it so that when we drag from one corner of a photo, it only increases in size in the direction we are dragging to. It is very annoying to want to have the photo a tad bit bigger to align perfectly but have both sides lengthen!

    There are some tools I dont use and interrupt my experience while using the app. It would be nice to be able to remove those tools, or even rearrange them!

    Having more colours readily available in the toolbar would be a game changer. Shouldn’t be that difficult...
