View-only Link Sharing

It would be really helpful to have „View only links“ as an alternative to collaboration. This would enable us to share information without giving permission to edit it. I would use this really often in a school and work context.

    Yes, for teachers it's very important to have the ability to SHARE the notes from class... but for heavens sake... I don't want the students to be able to EDIT those notes. Who knows what little limericks or errors Dirty Danny will put in those notes to lead everyone else off track. ....

    I would like the option to share a view-only link to my notebook. As a teacher, I want to share class notes with students without giving them editing access. Currently, I have to send daily PDFs, which is inconvenient. Instead, I’d prefer to share one live link that always shows the most up-to-date version.

    Share the link to a Notebook or pdf that I can share to students as View Only. Perhaps even a whole folder.
    I regularly share my Notebooks before I annotate on them to encourage students who do have Goodnotes to make their own notes, but having to select the pages of the notebook that I have been through in a lesson to then share to google drive or google classroom each time can be very time consuming.
    Having the same system as the share to collaborate except making it view only would be so useful as a teacher.

    My college teacher uses GoodNotes live in class. It would be nice if he could share his notes live with the class in a view only-manner, but allowing us students to take notes locally without affecting his document.

    Please make sharing notes view only and better web browser support. This would make Goodnotes most likely the best educational tool on the market. I use Goodnotes to deliver lessons and have to export as pdf everyday which is annoying.

    To have an option for a "view-only" / "do not allow editing" button when sharing the link for collaborations. Because sometimes mistakes happend and then some things are missing in the files.

    agreed! If using this for lessons, this is a gaping flaw.

    I am in management and use GoodNotes for many things including staffing. It would be great to be able to share documents that are ‘live’ with any updates that I make, without having to ‘reshare’ a link, BUT with a option to share in a VIEW ONLY MODE (so I can make changes that my staff can see in real time, but my staff not be able to make changes)

    Add a permission feature to shared linked documents such as view only or comment only (like google docs sharing)

    It would be wonderful for view only links of documents. As a teacher teaching during distance learning, I would like to post notes that I’ve written without giving the students the ability to edit it.
