I would buy this app all over again if we could get voice notes. I wouldn't mind paying the extra fee.

I would really, really like to see this as well. For me the audio is less important, but the ability to export exactly what appears on the screen when projecting would be very useful in the production of RSA type/hand-drawn videos.

GoodNotes is my primary method of taking notes, and being able to save and record audio files would make this app worthy of 6 stars. Bring it!

I would buy this immediately if it incorporates Audio recording. PlZ allow us to export to .m4a with the note, too

The following audio recording features would be useful (and far exceed what your competitors offer):

— Link a recording to a location within the note

— Edit name (i.e. not just "Recording 1" or "Recording 2") and simple metadata (tags, etc) for recordings

— Import recordings (from Dropbox, Mail, Music, etc) into a note

When is this planned to happen? Its been quite sometime and the developers keep hitting planned! Any tentative date to look forward to?

Its the deal breaker between going for goodnotes and choosing notability

I don't know why the hell they are not adding this feature. The only reason I still use notability in most of situations is because of live playback of note taking + recording. This is a huge benefit for students and people in seminars and conferences etc. I thought maybe because it is patented, others don't add this feature.
Add this feature and your on top of notability forever. Srsly its weird that you have not add this feature already.

When you do this you need to add a filter to remove the sound of the Apple Pencil hitting the display. The hard nib on the Pencil is going to interfere with clean audio recording.

Can't think of a feature that is more important than this. Could be as simple as an audio bar, in-line with other items (text, sketching, pictures) that has some simple controls. I'm only a week into using your GoodNotes on an iPad Pro, and consider this one of two central apps in my workflow. Audio would complete its perfection!

So, so much good about GoodNotes! Using for all my writing needs in-office and out. Audio integrated onto the page would be HUGE, as it could be referenced directly within the page.
