I completely agree with this!

Please add this functionality. I am doing research interviews and using notability because of the ability to record on the same page as taking notes. I really love goodnotes and this would make it the perfect app!

Please make it happen! I’ve been using notability for the last few months in Medical program because I need the audio function, but I want goodnotes back really badly. Can this happen? I don’t like a lot about notability but this is one thing they do really well.

Have not got a iPad yet but will consider getting GoodNotes over Notability if its getting this audio recording feature when I got my iPad:)

Very important feature. We are still waiting from 2014, not a good thing.

Audio recording is a total gimmick. Please don't waste valuable development time on it.

First , I chooses GoodNotes but when i when I know the two things about Noteshelf is that-
1) we can record and also import voice record from file and also we can manage on page where we need .
2) and also individual file lock
Really this attract me and I switched on Noteshelf..

If GoodNotes also add this feature in his app then it will be great.

It may still some bugs need to be fixed but I hope it can be added before I graduated...(just kidding).

Videos is very important for people as it can replace hundreds of words, for example, experiments. It also better if it is able to added notes or comments on the videos, add timelines, speed change, caption, simple video edit (like cutting, cropping).

Audio is important as well. If there is, it is easy to complete the notes. And if it can be added near a word, it will be very useful for learning concepts and foreign language.

If you are worry about the storge or sync, I would like to say I do not care:), and if it is a problem, it may can provide a option that save in local (like Hyperlinks) or with the notes?

I understand it may a huge amount of work but very hope it can be added as soon as possible because it is very good for learning.

The ability to import Apple voice memos directly into Goodnotes would do it for me, but any audio recording or import feature is welcome.

Please do this. I have ADHD and can never get my notes written in lectures properly because I can't write down what the prof just said and hear what they're saying as I'm writing. I got Notability specifically for this, but I hate it so much. The Goodnotes UI is so much better, but I simply cannot use it for my classes which is so frustrating. I think the entire user base would be eternally grateful if the next update you released had this feature, even if it's literally the only new feature you drop. Please, I am begging you

It's been 7 years, why hasn't this been added yet? i use GoodNotes for everything but if I can't use the audio function, then I'll have to use Notability. They do it so well and I'm sure GN5 can too. Please please please.

I use Notability for lectures for this reason even though I use GoodNotes for everything else and I would love nothing more than to have this functionality in GoodNotes so I can use it for everything.

I agree that this should be added. However, even if audio creation isn't available in the app, being able to sync outside audio (such as from a smartpen or from a native audio recorder in the computer) or being able to add sound clips would be incredibly beneficial. Even if syncing with other apps were allowed, it would be a wonderful addition. Admittedly, being able to add video clips would be amazing as well (I have no idea if this is already possible. I've just started using the app recently).

Agreed, this should've been implemented in years past. If the audio only can handle recording 30 mins of audio, then please make it so we can join the recordings together. Please make it so there's a noise reduction, animation preview, equalizer, voice boost (for farther sounds) and skip back/forward 10 seconds. Also add playback speeds such as 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x and 2x
