imrpoved text processing like oneNote, Notes, pages or word.
please add more text processing features for use on macs like writing on a page without the limiting textbox, list features etc.
goal: preparing notes during a phonecall with the keyboard, adding texts, lists or preparing a meeting summary directly in GN instead of preparing in Notes or other apps and pasting it to GN afterwards.
this is the reason our workflow still relies on other party apps instead of organizing everything in GN.

Quick scrolling as in other pdf viewers.
I really miss the feature that many other pdf viewers (and browsers, eg safari) have, where one presses and holds the scrolling button to move it up/down to a desired page.

please add the ability to move text with lasso tool from one page to the other
this and other features like audio recording in sync with notes, proper smooth scrolling that doesn't have a mind of its own, ability to change the size of eraser, are what makes notability better
the only difference is that notability makes my writing uglier. it looks better in goodnotes but as far as user experience goes, notability is way better and keep in mind i got it for free ages ago and i had to pay for good notes
you guys are intelligent and capable and i'm sure you'll manage to add these features in the near future

circle drawn by holding with pen erased on line rather than middle
I often write inside a circle that I have drawn. If I make a mistake I have to erase it then redraw the circle, which is hard enough as more often than not it goes to an ellipse - maybe another area for improvement.

Flat (rectangular tip) highlighter
It may not seem important to many, but when doing some tracker marking to fill up rectangle shapes, it is so hard using a rounded highlighter. I end up using Noteshelf when I really want to use goodnotes. It messes up my entire habit tracking that I use everyday.

Optimize Storage usage by putting unused files on iCloud Drive.
Could GoodNotes only store recent accessed files for quick access and store unused files automatically on iCloud? It will be really useful for devices running out of storage.

edge trimming for tablet friendly pdf textbooks/documents
Hi, for pdf readers like Xodo, a feature that allows us to automatically trim off the white edge of certain documents is great for zooming in and focusing on the content.
Could you please add such a feature that turns any documents/textbooks into a tablet friendly version?

Share screenshot as SVG
I use GoodNotes screenshot-feature on a daily basis to create drawings for my exercises & summaries for uni and it would be very useful if I could export into SVG -> better quality while maintaining a small footprint.

Schedule automatic backup or offer cooldown period
The current automatic backup attempts to backup your files after every edit and thus (based on my settings) attempts to render to pdf after every single edit. This constant rendering and uploading rapidly drains the iPad battery to the point where I lose about 20-30% per hour of use and as a side effect makes the device very hot and uncomfortable to use.
Instead, it would be good to have an option to either schedule a backup (i.e. once an hour, once a day, etc) or have a cooldown option where a document won't be backed up until say 5…

Screen Reader Compatibility
For some reason, whenever I upload a pdf to Goodnotes on my iPad, I loose the ability to use my screen reader to help me read the text. This is really awful, as I rely on my screen reader to help me get through my readings for school. I love the flexibility of Goodnotes' highlight, page marking, and page searching functions. This one extra layer of compatibility or trouble shooting would literally make the difference between excelling and falling behind in my classes :/.

Increase size of laser pointer
It would be helpful if the size of the laser pointer could be adjusted. The current one is pretty small and sometimes hard to recognise.
