Enhancing the Writing Tools and Study Card Features
I loved the new keyboard option for writing, like in “Word.” But I would like more options to modify the font and other aspects, other tools, to improve the writing part. Another suggestion is that when I paste something I copied from ChatGPT, it comes with symbols like * and #. There could be an option to locate these symbols and remove them all. Add more features to the study cards (you can borrow some ideas from Anki) haha. Thank you, I look forward to it! I love the app <3

Using the laso tool to lock drawings/handwritings together
When writing notes, or creating drawings it could be helpful to have a "lock" tool so when moving/resizing/or color changes can be grouped together (instead of each time needing to circle every individual part and possibly missing something)

Font
It would be really useful to have the same expanded font choice for a keyboard entering and handwritten text to typed text that you offer using the text tool in the box. I’m a creative person, and I like to choose my font to type in.

Touch and hold an image
Similar to the apple and google touch and hold on an image to isolate it from a picture and then copy and paste it to your GoodNotes page, the lasso tool also lasso’s parts of the background, I would love the ability to touch and hold an image and be able to grab it from a page copy and paste it or create an element sticker with it to use later. As it is now I have to open my photos and utilize this feature. There are times I have inserted a shape or text and the lasso tool doesn’t…

Line sheet or underlying line for steady handwriting
As I have my problems with handwriting one straight line from left to right, one solution might be automatic straightening.
One problem here could be that text that is actually set lower or higher is also set to the same height.Another solution would perhaps be a mode in which temporary help lines appear under the handwriting to show you where you should continue writing.
This would also be good for line breaks.
It would be great if you could also set the line spacing yourself.1 vote -
Add photo filter to make images like scanned document
OCR cannot dittect other languages hand writting correctly.
but an app called "CamScanner" has a filter called "Magic" it makes any photo and process it to look like scanned file. it removes unwanted reflection, shadow and make all the white areas total white. makes all the black text total black, alsocorrects other colors.
to match the goodnotes white background i use "camscanner" to proccess photo, then saves it, then imports it.
if Goodnotes has that filter, ican just click photo and apply the filter. it will save me a lot of time

Importing documents to the folder currently opened
Currently in Goodnotes 6, when importing a document, the default location seems to always be the main document folder. In goodnotes 5, the default import location would be whatever folder we’re opened in or created at the time.
I would like that back because I think sometimes when we’re in a hurry, we would import PDF as new documents and because the default location is the main documents folder… we would have to go back back back to the main folder and move the files to our intended folder. Which is a huge waste of time.

Quick straight underline like highlight
I would love the option in underline like highlight to be straight - that we did not have to pause.

Adding link to anything
Whether it be my handwriting, a sticker, picture or whatever i want to add link directly to them and also linking other pages of the same notebook or some other notebook so by tapping once I’m seamlessly taken to that page. Might help in making indexes

Better/ Customisable crosshair
I used a Mac version of Goodnotes. It'd be great if the crosshair/ pointer is customisable, or even just give us more shapes and sizes to choose from. Personally I dislike the 4 lines crosshair and I think a simple dot would make for better precision and accuracy.

Timer for GoodNotes:
As a teacher, I use GoodNotes on the board by mirroring the app on the display. It would be great if I could directly display a timer for the remaining editing time for my students in GoodNotes. While the split-screen solution with the clock app works, I would prefer a small timer within GoodNotes itself.

Scribble option without being bound to a language
I can’t use the scribble option in swedish. If I want to write “Hej” it only writes “He” and so on. If adding a new language is not an option please let the scribble be non-restricted

Simply put, the ability to select ANY component of ANY handwritten or computer-drawn element/image/stroke, and have the ability to manipulate it in ANY way. Stretching, mirroring, resizing, ANYthing. =)

Haptic feedback while selecting
When using the lasso (selection) tool, let the pens that have haptic feedback features (e.g: Apple Pencil pro) to vibrate, and a setting to turn this off in the pencil customisation settings

Outline AI
It would be amazing if we could get an Update in Goodnotes 6 with an AI Copilot that outlines the most important informations of a page (also the handwritten) on the side to make them easier to learn. Please also integrate an connection to this AI with the vocabularies, to generate them automatically from the note page.
