  1. Expand Canvas Work Area

    I would love to be able to expand the area of the canvas so that I have more flexibility with writing on the pages without straining my hands. I find when I am filling a page that my hand starts to fall off my iPad and my handwriting/sketches start to become unstable because of the awkward writing angle. Having that extra bit of canvas space to move the current page I’m working on to a more comfortable position would work WONDERS.

  3. Text to handwriting

    It would be awesome if you could add a method to convert copied text from a pdf to custom handwriting. As a software engineer, I propose adding the capability to enter a custom alphabet where the text is converted by mapping each letter (works in O(n) where n is the length of the text).

  4. Two Great Additions

    Two things that would make this app even more amazing. First is the ability to hyperlink within the program. If you could link one note to another place anywhere in GoodNotes would be so useful. The other is to be able to add reminders. This would need to work with a hyperlink so a to-do task would notify you and then you could click and be taken right to where the reminder is referring to

  7. Link and mirror

    I use GoodNotes for my planning and now create my planner in keynotes first so I can link the tabs to the right page. I’ve seen more people suggesting this feature comes in GoodNotes itself too so you don’t need keynotes anymore.

    I want to add something to that suggestion: I would also like to link objects or text boxes so what you write on one place will be mirrored to another place.

    For example; I have a monthly overview but also days and weeks. I have in every day page a square in the same size as in the…

  8. Offline data storage

    Enable File Storage without iCloud backup - My daughter is halfway through her sophomore year in college and loves (we all do) good notes. Her first years data is taking up several mega bytes of data (almost 32) which is all the memory she has on her iPad. As she continues we will obviously have to buy a new iPad and storage but would be great to be able to save that first years data to an offline file for use down the road to refer to and or share with friends. Good notes rocks, please add that feature!

  10. Set more custom default fonts for the text box

    It would be nice to be able to set more custom default fonts, like the handwriting mode already has.This can be efficient when there is often a need to separate the headline from the body text.

  12. horizontal and vertical rulers for precise item placement on the page

    Please add horizontal and vertical rulers (similar to the rulers available is MS word / indesign, etc ...) so that the user would be able to place an object/write in a precise location. This is very helpful if someone intends to print a page with specific header/footer sizes and left/right margins, or for example if someone wants to place an object 4cm from the top, and 2cm from the left of the page.

    use 2 fingers to zoom in AND free rotate the paper to write in an angle without the need of rotating the ipad itself

  15. Real size scale

    If would like the option to scale the document to 100% true size. If my template is A4, the document on tahe screen should have same dimensions as real A4 paper.

  16. Improve BALLPOINT pen settings.

    It’s almost impossible to write well in goodnotes with the ball point pen. Please provide some settings to improve the smoothness and line to stability

  17. view annotated pages

    Sometimes we import a whole pdf into goodnotes and annotate some of the pages. it would be nice to be able to easily search and extract all the pages that have annotation to serve as a quick reviewer.

  18. Fill and sign PDF forms

    Please add the standard function of filling and signing PDF forms.

    Filling forms with text, not scribbling.

    Choosing options from a dropdown menu of a form.

    Signing PDF forms with legally binding signatures.

  19. Remove text box

    I love GoodNotes but the most tedious thing I dislike about the program is my handwriting. It would be amazing if the text box could be configured for a general use so you can write how you would with the pen but it converts to a preinstalled font. I have so much trouble with the text box adjusting them to the side, trying to go to the next line without using the keyboard, moving the text box.

  20. Let user be able to customize the keyboard shortcut

    The situation is

    1. some user who use secondary language need to switch back to EN before they can use keyboard shortcut
    2. some use prefer to use Cmd+1, Cmd+2, Cmd+3 ,...

    so it wound be better to let user customize the keyboard shortcut their own way

    (including shortcut for each 1st - 3rd color of highlight and pen)
