1. Return sort banner to top of page

   I often have to switch from searching by name, to the most recent document. Having the banner with date, name on the top center of the screen was very convenient. Either I changed a setting or the banner was removed and now a much more tedious process of going through the drop down menu. Please return the banner to the top of the page, or make it an option like "header".

2. Ability to merge Study Sets in GoodNotes

   Hi,
   In class, we tried to collaborate on vocabulary by having each student write down a portion of the words in a separate study set. The idea was that at the end of the lesson, we could merge all the sets into one, so everyone has the complete vocabulary list.

   Unfortunately, we realized that Goodnotes doesn’t currently allow merging study sets, which makes this workflow impossible. Instead of learning with 30 different study sets, it would be great to have a feature that lets us combine multiple sets into one.

   Would love to see this added—does anyone else think this would be useful?

3. Page Load Warning to Protect Existing Work

   It would be really helpful to have something that warns the user that there is writing already on the document to prevent overwriting. Sometimes when writing on a page, it doesn't fully load for a very long time and turns up blank.

4. Pen strokes cutting out/deleting on Goodnotes for PC

   Goodnotes has been added to windows which is great, however the user experience is poor when it comes to using something like a Wacom tablet connected to the PC. Often times strokes will be cut off half way through writing or deleted entirely I imagine this could be fixed with a quick update.

6. New functions

   I find the application very good and practical, but I think it could be improved a lot if some key functions were added. For example, the possibility of creating tables similar to those in Word, with the option to give them custom colors and formats, which would help a lot to organize the information in a visual and orderly way. It would also be very useful to have brushes to highlight, underline or customize annotations in a more dynamic way. In addition, I consider it important that documents can be sorted according to my preferences and not only by date or name, as this would give more freedom to the user and allow to work in a more comfortable and efficient way. With these improvements, the application would not only be more complete, but also more versatile and adaptable to different needs.

9. Structure-Tree Module

   I wanna say yes and and improve the Index Post-It idea. It makes navigating in the digital notebook almost impossible when you don‘t have guiding index post-it‘s on the side, especially if the content of the study is already quite big by it‘s nature, like the German Grammer. Having the ability to put it would make Goodnotes equal with the paper book alternative. But having it as a Structure-Tree would make it even better.

   I have drawn a simple UX Sketch here. The idea is to give the Content Structure Tree its own extended module to be able to freely modify and navigate in it. The more subpages/tabs a Header have, the more toned it looks in the UI. It is easy to change the order of subpages and tabs by press hold+drag and put colored index post-it, sticking out at the wrapped up view anyway. In the wrapped up view, we only see the Headers and that gives us a quick orientation, before we dive in to the content. Being able to see the content in Headers and bounded Subtabs enables us to zoom in and zoom out from the content, or dive in to a particular sub-subject, so we don‘t get mentally lost in it.
   I have added the Screenshots of the Solidworks Feature Manager tree in the images. Also a visual Tree. Such files with complicated Feature Trees can be a good inspiration at the development of the UX Module.

   Since this Structure-Tree idea is essentially not not an invention and already is the base of many programms, I am assuming that it would be also quite feasible on the back-end.

   ps. There are studies showing that one of the major disadvantage of learning from a digital tool that prevents the efficiency of learning, is that loosing the relational ties in between the pieces of information blocks. Because with the tactile thickess of a book, we subconsciously measure the distance in between the content blocks from one another and form a structure in our heads. Such Structure-Tree can be a good solution for our cognitive learning processes since there is no thickness value of an iPad document and can actually be an interesting research subject if it would existed (thus we need the bulky looking UI when a Header is overwhelmed with Subpages -not only to seize the relational order but also to feel how big/small room they occupy spatially. Example: Correct Writing would weigh 1/100 lighter compared to Verbs in German Grammer but they both would be same looking Headers if no visual UI signal is given).

10. Eye dropper / Color picker / Pipette

    A eye dropper for the pen and high lighter because a lot of people use this app to study or for calendars (including myself) and some people like to group things with high lighters or underline and it’s pretty hard going back and checking if you got the right color or if it’s slightly lighter or darker especially with the highlights

15. More Style Options for Text

    Being able to type documents and adding text fields to handwritten docs is great, but the style options (fonts, text size, …) are quite limited.
    I would really enjoy more advanced typing features to make the experience of typing documents feel closer to Microsoft Word oder Apple Pages.
    I know the focus of GoodNotes is still handwriting, but just little improvements like making it more accessible/quicker to change fonts or text style (or even keyboard shortcuts) would enhance the experience of being able to use just one app for handwritten and typed notes!

16. Ability to keep lassoed image as overlay (Picture-in-Picture / PiP)

    I love reading PDFs with GoodNotes on my tablet, because it is comfortable, and I can highlight and scribble notes.

    Sometimes I'm reading a paper and it will keep referring to a figure on a previous page. I would love to temporarily lassoo that figure, and keep it as a floating window/overlay while I'm otherwise normally scrolling, reading, and marking the document.

    Think of this as similar to the "Document split view" of some word processors, but much more flexible, and taking much less space away from the main document view.

18. Improve the anti-slip function of the notes

    When in use, it often leads to accidental finger touches that trigger the long-press function for adding comments, thereby interrupting the writing process. This issue occurs very frequently and significantly affects the user experience. I hope a switch can be added to disable this function.

20. Scroll all the Bookmarked pages at once

    Ok, so all my bookmarks in a document I want to be able to only see when I scroll the bookmarked pages when I press on it from that tab. For instance, in notability, all your bookmarks in that tab you can just scroll and see all of them. For classes that I have 100+ pages, and I have marked 30 pages of only the relevant material, is very inconvenient that I can only see them in the little square and to go to next book mark page I have to find thumbnail marked. I want to scroll all of the bookmarks in that document at once.
