Proposal for Optimizing GoodNotes for Macbook Users
Dear GoodNotes Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am a long-time user of GoodNotes on my Macbook and greatly appreciate the app. However, during my usage, I have identified some areas for improvement that could significantly enhance the user experience.
Firstly, I would like to suggest optimizing GoodNotes for Macbook users, particularly with regards to the writing experience. It would be fantastic if the app could automatically detect that it is running on a Macbook and adjust the writing width accordingly. Change the Size of Study Set Card
The study set is a very nice feature, but it is not fully functional yet. One of my requests regarding the study set is the ability to change the size of the cards. In its current state, it is difficult to use, especially when in edit mode, as the letters are small and hard to read. It would be very nice if this were implemented.

Allow download and upload of folders
Instead of downloading documents one by one, it would be better if I could upload folders already organized from my computer to Goodnotes, like on google drive

iCloud update function in toolbar
Next to the voice record button or add page button (for example) instead of having to exit document editing and then go to the main settings menu (esp since it already takes so long for iCloud to sync and it fails often so it needs to be refreshed constantly). This would at least save a little time until the iCloud sync function itself can be fixed.

AI assistance within the app (such as chatgpt)
Allows users to ask questions about certain topics without having to exit the app. Incredibly useful and time saving. It can save time for finding maths formulae or answers for many other topics.

PDF page numbering in outline
Documents show the total number of pages instead of the page number in the book. It would be nice if the page numbers on Goodnotes corresponded to the page numbers in the book itself. (skipping the contents and earlier pages)

Lined notecards for study sets
I write with my Apple Pencil when doing notecards, and having lines would make them a lot neater. I spend an annoying amount of time adding them myself

keep inserted image ratio when stretching it
For notes taking in class, I take a lot of pictures of projected screen. Then when inserting those pictures into my notes, GoodNotes will only put them on page with a very limited size. I want to resize those pictures on page, but then the aspect ratio will be changed because I can only stretch them either vertically or horizontally at a time, not both at the same time.
I think GN should add a button at the corner of resizing the picture to keep the original aspect ratio.

Cubic function, quartic function graph drawer
In the current Goodnotes application, it is only possible to draw lines or quadratic functions, which makes it hard to draw cubic function graphs or graphs with higher degrees. It would be much better if graphs with degrees over three (preferably cubic function graph and quartic function graph) also got automatically corrected when the user draws them.

Resizing imported PDF pages & images
An option to resize imported PDF pages would help each notebook feel more cohesive, especially for those using vertical scrolling. It would be nice to have a feature that automatically matches the width of each imported page to that of the current template so that all the pages in the document have the same width.

I learn with the study set and like to mark the cards that I need to revise.

Fix a bug between goodnotes and stage manager on external display.
When I connect my ipad to an external display using stage manager, a bug appears. In this situation I have firstly the goodnotes application open and displayed on my ipad and secondly any document or application open and displayed on the external screen. So when I open a new goodnotes document on my ipad or change document via the taskbar, this automatically zooms in on the external screen, placing the application or home screen out of frame on the external screen. Seeing Open Tabs
Just a simple Addition to Goodnotes. The ability to see all open Documets and Files from the Homescreen, instead of having to open a file. This could be a separate folder under the marketplace for example which expands to show all the currently open notes
