Continuous Numbering Across Pages in Numbered List
I would love to see continuous numbering across pages in the numbered list format on the typing side of Goodnotes. It drives me a little bit crazy that my list numbers start over when I need to continue onto a new page and my list starts back at "1."!!!

Custom Template Text-Box Location
There could be an option to have text boxes saved in custom locations based on the template. I attached an example if some folks don't know what Cornell notes are, but like having text boxes ready to use in each section of a Cornell Note so there's no reason to click-to-create and resize a new text box on every single page or text boxes already cropped to size in the days/months boxes on a calendar.
Also please add this even if it this rec doesn't get a ton of votes Goodnotes people because it would SIGNIFICANTLY reduce my studying time.

I wish for the handwriting improvements
I would like to suggest a potential improvement that I believe would greatly enhance the user experience: the ability to apply the handwriting improvement (or calligraphic control) across entire notes or sections, rather than just on illegible words.

✏️ Option to erase pencil markings in entire document
I need to scribble/write my notes in order to commit it to memory, and I’m sure plenty of other people do too. Right now I have to always bring a notepad with me to scribble on.
If there was an option to remove all pencil markings in one go, I could scribble and study on my notes on the go without having to bring the notepad. It would be great for studying on the bus.
And this means the scribbles won’t affect my future studying. This could be helpful for those who are doing exercises over and over again too.

GROUP PAGES TOGETHER
I understand we have the hyperlink option, where you can move to a different page by clicking on the text.
It would be great if we could assign each page to a topic e.g., page 1 , 3 ,4, 20 are consulting and page 2, 5,6 are finance
and then on the first page or somewhere else it could show a box saying the title then when u click on the text or the box, it would open a new window and only show the pages that are selected to come under that box if that makes sense

More sketch feature
Making shapes in GoodNotes is a very nice feature, but as an engineer, it would be nice if you considered the following enhancements when we try to draw the first concepts for the next design:
Adding the following features will make handling sketches easier:
Ability to edit shapes and connect them to others.
Ability to select lines in a shape and make them parallel or perpendicular.
Ability to measure lines or circles by selecting them and show their sizes, or the angles, and draw the measure distance .

The ruler cannot be used to measure lengths
The new ruler function would be more helpful if you could also measure lengths with the ruler. Two boxes on the checkered side do not correspond to 1cm on the ruler. Therefore, the ruler can only be used to draw straight lines and unfortunately not to measure lengths.

Adjust pen/highlighter size for each documents
It would be great to have a feature where we can customize each pen/highlighter sizes depending on notebook/documents. For example, I use different pen sizes when taking notes but different pen/highlighter sizes for lecture notes since they use different sized documents (letter, A4, B4, etc.) So rather than going back and forth, adjusting sizes, I think it would be better to customize accordingly.

Fountain Pen Doesn’t Look Natural
The good notes fountain pen does not write how a fountain pen should. A fountain pen has a metal nib that creates thin cross strokes and wide down strokes. The pen in good notes is the opposite with wide side strokes and thin down strokes. The apple notes fountain pen is perfect in recreating the look of an actual fountain pen. This is the only reason I have to stay with apple notes. The pen interface is the most important for me. Otherwise, I would use good notes.

Make Audio File Type possible to add in folders
I think that actually the addition of audios files inside Goodnotes is impossible, and that could be good for the users if this improve exists.

Insert blank space
It will be so helpful to insert a blank space at a choose spot. That way, I can just import my problem set as pdf and insert a blank space, it'll save a lot of time to screenshot and copy past to a new page. Please!!!

It would be very helpfull to automatic create a graph of a handwritten equation like the calculator of apple already does since IOS 18.

Motion smoothing
At the end of each stroke, there is some motion smoothing mechanism in place, which creates unwanted curves. It would be great if we could get more control over the motion smoothing feature, like increasing it's intensity, or turning it on and off whenever required.

Typing experience new features
The typing experience in general needs to be better, it needs to be closer to Word. We have to be able to choose the size of the fonts, the margins of the page, the interline space, etc…
The pointed list need to be better, now it can’t change the number if we want to and it starts back to 1.
If we’re able to better the typing feature to be more consistent and interchangeable with the pen writing, it would be an almost perfect app. As in now I need to switch to Word for some important features that I…2 votes -
Flashcards: both way questioning
It would be really usefull for language learners to be able to use the flashcards in both ways. That means that we could change the settings and get questioned by the answers.
Example: I have a flashcard. As a question i put in „How are you?“ and as an answer I put in „Wie geht es dir?“ (German). Now I could use it the regular way and i see the english side first and have to find the german out and then there could be the second way (the idea) where i change the setting and see the german sentence…2 votes -
3 typing things to fix
Please allow text that reaches the end of the page to automatically transfer over to the next instead of manually transferring it. the manual transfer doesn't work well for me in the first place, but instead is just annoying for me.
Please also make it easier for bullet pointed lists to have easier subsections/indentations. For example, in google docs I can easily create new indentations by doing "cmd ]" or "cmd [" for the bullet point, open bullet point, etc. this would be LIFE changing for me as a student. These are the two main gripes I have with this…
