1. Make page centering an option in settings instead of mandatory.

   Automatic page centering is visually pleasing, yes. However, page centering (meaning you are unable to zoom anywhere you want to (for example, having 70% space and 30% page on your screen)) is very impractical. It means you have to move your arm and wrist around to the very left of your device and then to the very right when writing full pages. This is not only very tedious and strenuous on muscles, but it is also genuinely very annoying to deal with.

2. Same folder in more than one place

   In folder A there is a document on the brain
   In folder B I can also access and see the same document on the brain
   This way I don't have to move it from the original folder (A) but I can add it to other folders that are relevant to the topic.

3. Is the Android version of the app fully developed now?

   I have a Samsung Tab S6 Lite 2022 and I'm currently using Samsung Notes for my school notes, but I miss a reliable way to measure and draw lines of specific angles and lengths, as well as a tool to draw circkes of a specific radius. I've seen some other students use GoodNotes on iPads and they seem to have a ruler (I'm not sure for the "circle with radius" thing but I think they also have that).

   Also, Samsung Notes does really bad at supporting portrait orientation, which I saw from the iPad users should be usable even on a per-page basis in GodNotes.

   Does anyone here have experience if the Android version is missing any features of the iPad Solitaired version and if yes, which?

   I also need to be able to use the button on my S Pen (non-pro version,no battery) to erase things.

4. Grab tool - page navigation

   Goodnotes has been a great tool to help me mark up and organize pdfs and other files for school, The only thing that I have noticed it missing is a simple grab tool. As in when you're zoomed in on a pdf file, a tool that would allow me to click and drag to change position within the page.

   Similar to the Adobe suite, when you hold space you can click and drag to a different position within the page. Adding this would make make it perfect!

6. Palm Rejection BIG Issue with 3rd Party Stylus

   Dear Goodnotes Team,

   I’ve been experiencing persistent issues with palm rejection while using a 3rd party stylus on Goodnotes, and I wanted to bring this to your attention.

   While writing with my palm resting on the screen, unintended actions frequently occur — the floating menu (cut, copy, paste, etc.) often pops up, and in some cases, it even selects underlying text or content where my palm touches. This leads to the stroke I was making getting disrupted or vanishing altogether.

   This not only causes missing portions in my writing but also severely hampers the flow and accuracy of note-taking, which is quite frustrating — especially during fast writing or lectures.

   It would be extremely helpful if the app could:

   Improve palm rejection sensitivity for 3rd party styluses.
   Prevent the floating menu from interfering with or overriding stroke input.
   Ensure that even if the floating menu appears, ongoing strokes are preserved and not lost.
   Please refer to the attached videos for more clarity.

   I appreciate your work on making Goodnotes such a powerful tool, and I hope this issue can be resolved in an upcoming update.

   For you to get rid of this you have to copy a space and paste it after the “3.” which is a waste of time

   We need an option to disable auto enumerated lists.

   I would like to suggest a feature that would improve visibility and clarity during writing sessions, especially when using screen-sharing or presenting.

   While in Pen Mode, it would be extremely helpful to have an optional highlighted circle or pointer around the pen tip as I write. This would act like a visual guide, making it easier for others to follow the writing in real time, and for the writer to keep track of the precise pen location, especially on larger screens or when using a stylus.

   This feature would be similar to a cursor highlight or visual pointer found in presentation tools. Ideally, it could be toggled on or off in the settings or toolbar.

   I believe this addition would be particularly useful for:

10. Simplified action for copy-and-paste notebook to another folder

    I wish a copy-and-paste feature of notebook to another folder, as a single action.

    When I need to make copies of a file and put them in multiple folders, I have to repeat the operations: 1. Copy the file, which creates a copy under the name of 'Copy of foobar', 2. Move it to a folder, 3. Change the name of the moved file to delete the prefixed 'Copy of'.
    This is a very awkward way of making multiple copies. I would like to operate like the Move operation: Long tap on the notebook -> Seclect Copy-To -> Select the folder to put a copy of it.

11. Export notes with synced audio and handwriting

    Hello GoodNotes Team,

    Thank you for the great app! I really enjoy using the audio recording feature while writing notes, especially because it syncs perfectly with my handwriting.

    I would love to have an option to export the note with both the audio and the synchronized handwriting, either as an interactive file or a video. This would allow me to share my lecture notes with friends in the exact way I experienced them — with the timing of each written point aligned to the recording.

    Currently, sharing a PDF or exporting as images loses that functionality, and it’s a big limitation for students who collaborate. Also, I can’t share my notes with people who don’t have the GoodNotes app, which makes collaboration harder and limits how I can use this feature.

    Please consider adding this in a future update. It would make a huge difference for many users like me.

    Hello, I'm a user of GoodNotes 6 and I have a few suggestions and issues I'd like to share:

    Highlighter Layering
    When I write something and then use the highlighter on top, the highlighter covers the text, making it look very blurry. I would really appreciate it if the highlighter could automatically go behind the text by default.

    Search Function
    GoodNotes allows searching handwritten text within a note, which is great. However, it doesn't support searching content within uploaded images. It would be much more powerful if the search function could also recognize and include text within images.

    Split Screen Feature
    Currently, GoodNotes doesn't offer a native split-screen feature within the app. So when I want to view multiple notes at once, I have to use the iPad's native split screen. However, that only allows limited ratios like 50:50 or 70:30, which is inconvenient. It would be really helpful to have an in-app split-screen feature with adjustable ratios.

    Tape and Eraser Interaction
    I think many users might be facing this issue. When I use tape and then write something on top of it, if I later use the eraser, both the tape and the writing are erased. It would be very useful to have a setting in the eraser tool that allows us to erase only the writing without removing the tape.

    Tape Expansion Access
    Currently, you can only open and close tape sections when the tape or pen tool is selected. This becomes quite inconvenient when using other tools, and it lowers overall efficiency. It would be better if we could open and close tape sections regardless of the tool in use.

    1. 형광펜(하이라이터)
    글씨를 쓰고 하이라이터를 위에 사용하면 글자 위에 하이라이터가 올라가서 글자가 정말뿌옇게 보입니다. 하이라이터를 사용할 때 기본적으로 글자 뒤로 가게 되었으면 좋겠습니다.

    1. 검색기능입니다. 굿노트는 노트 내에서 검색을 할 수 있는 기능이 있는데 이 기능은 펜으로 쓴 "글자"만 되기 때문에 노트 내에 업로드한 이미지에서는 쓸 수 없습니다. 이미지속 내용도 검색 가능했으면 좋겠습니다.

    2. 화면 분할입니다. 굿노트 내에서 화면 분할 기능이 없어 여러가지 노트를 한 화면에서 보고 싶을 떼 아이패드에서 제공하는 기본 화면 분할 기능만 사용할 수 있습니다. 하지만 아이패드 기본 화면 분할 기능은 5:5 또는 7:3 정도의 화면분할만 가능하기 때문에 조금 불편합니다. 굿노트 내에서 화면 분할 기능을 추가하여 자유로운 비율로 여러 노트를 볼 수 있었으면 좋겠습니다.

    3. 테이프와 지우개 기능입니다. 현재 많은 사용자가 불편을 겪고 있을 것 같단 생각이 드는 문제점입니다. 테이프를 사용하고 테이프 위에 쓴 글자를 삭제하기 위해 지우개를 사용하면 테이프와 글자가 모두 지워져서 불편합니다. 지우개 설정 내에서 테이프가 안지워 질 수 있는 기능을 추가해주셨으면 합니다.

    4. 테이프 열림 기능입니다. 테이프는 테이프나 펜을 선택했을 때만 열고 닫을 수 있습니다. 이는 다른 도구를 사용할 때 굉장히 불편하며 효율성이 떨어지게 합니다.

    Subject: Screenshot Feature Request – Easier Access, Auto Copy, and Better Sharing Compatibility

    Thank you for developing such a versatile and user-friendly note-taking app.
    I’d like to suggest improvements related to how screenshots are captured and shared from within GoodNotes.

    I often need to take screenshots that include both my handwriting and the file’s background, especially when sharing notes with external tools like ChatGPT. However, having to use the lasso tool each time to take a screenshot is quite inconvenient and time-consuming.

19. I would love to work with Goodnotes in visionOS.

    I would love to see Goodnotes running natively on visionOS. Right now, I'm using the macOS version with an XP-Pen tablet by mirroring macOS within visionOS, but a native app with support for the Apple Pencil or similar tablets would be ideal!

20. Predefined set of shapes

    Hi Goodnotes team,

    The app is really amazing. Everything is almost perfect in the app.
    Only one feature is missing in this is that there should be a predefined set of shapes that could be dragged and dropped on the canvas. This would be really helpful. Thanks.
