Agreed. Please export automatically.

What I would like in particular is that if I delete a file in Goodnotes, then the copy on Dropbox gets deleted too.

Goodnotes is a good product that would be great if it synchronized with Dropbox. I installed under the assumption it already did this, but as far as I can tell, clicking the "Dropbox" button in setup doesn't result in any synchronization.

It would be nice to have labels and stickers as well, similar to what is in Noteledge app. When you are planning a trip or creating a Travel log, stickers and labels will make if more colorful and fun. Another feature that is in Noteledge app is inserting or recording a video. Also they have in-app browser where you can search for pictures and crop out sections you want and place it in the app which is very cool. If you think my idea is going to be a great addition please vote for my idea "Insert Videos, Stickers, Internet Cropping tool"

I bought goodnotes today and assumed it would support this feature. It truly is a necessity when using this at the University for different lectures and scripts.
Please add this feature als soon as possible.
And for onedrive too! -

Export / backup to either native or PDF is now in place. As soon as you exit a document the backup takes place to the folder in dropbox you identify in settings.
It creates categories as folders at the same time. So it doesn't have to be manual - but it is just a one way process as much as I can tell.

Really need this feature for my workflow. I have to import and export a lot of docs and its tedious doing it manually. Please add this :)

Totally Agree. It would would be great to see to way synchronisation between GoodNotes and dropbox (and other cloud services).
I'd love to be able to dedicate a parent folder on my dropbox and have it contain separate folders that automatically sync with my GoodNotes "Categories" and Sub Categories.
Cheers guys and gals, your app is great. I have no hesitation in recommending it to everyone and anyone.

Yes, I agree that this would be an excellent addition. Just look at how GoodReader implements this - it works well. I need only choose a top folder to sync with and then organise my files and folders as I wish within dropbox, then sync and all those files and folders get synced to the iPad. I would like to exclude certain file types however, i.e. only sync pdf files.

Right now GoodNotes offers an Auto-Backup feature, that is similar to a realtime sync. However, as it has huge drawbacks:
- Auto Backup is a one-way sync only. If we manually place a PDF in the GoodNotes backup folder, it isn't synced to GoodNotes.
- All the backed-up documents land in the Auto Backup folder. There's no way they would land at a place where we store our documents in the dropbox, so we have to export PDFs manually to the dropbox.
Therefore, managing files is frustrating for heavy users as me, because I need to have a filesystem in GoodNotes that resembles that of my dropbox, but I need to manually import and export everything in between, and I need to create all the folders twice (on my computer and on the tablet). And whenever I rename a folder or move files, I need to do the same in GoodNotes. That workflow is inefficient and outdated.A true real time sync has a few requirements, e.g.:
- Some files or folders (the ones that have been viewed / edited) would have to be stored locally on the tablet while others are not (otherwise the whole dropbox needs to be synced).
- GoodNotes would have to give up on the simple category / subcategory system (which few would deplore I guess)A simple and practical first implementation could be this:
Let's just keep the Auto-backup feature as it is, but let's make it a 2-way sync! Files that we put in the GoodNotes folder automatically get synced to GoodNotes, while files that we annotate in GoodNotes overwrite old (unannotated) files in the Dropbox folder. But of course it would be preferable to have a true two-way sync for the whole dropbox folder with free choice which folders should be available offline etc.
(And of course this counts for other cloud services)Keep up the good work! :)

It would be good to include this feature for use with all the main cloud services. Google, box and Onedrive
