Todo management
I take a ton of notes and produce a lot of todos from meetings, etc.
OneNote had this feature 15 years ago whereby you would add a todo box next to the line of a handwritten note. It then had a todo notebook that would pull all of the todo boxes from all notebooks. I'm dying to have this feature. I've searched and searched and can't find the feature anywhere! Please please add this!!

Adding a ToDo, GTD like task management entry to GoodNotes would be good. However, rather then Omnifocus or Trello, do what Airmail did and set up broader integration
From their webpage, they have:
Open Links in:
- Safari
- Chrome
- Firefox
- iCab
- Mercury
- Safari view controllerSend to Apps and Service:
- Calendars Invites
- Apple Calendar
- Apple Reminder
- Omnifocus
- Todoist
- Wunderlist
- Fantastical 2
- 2DO
- Trello
- Clear
- Evernote
- Appigo Todo
- The Hit List
- Things
- TaskTo which I would add TaskTask and DejaOffice for better integration into the Microsoft Outlook world. Also IHomework 2 for the student's ToDo world.
This would be very useful and like audio recording and syncing of recording with text as you write it, would place you a head above everyone else.
I would be willing to pay optional add in fees of $4 for the linkages to the Task/ToDo programs and $2 for the links to the browsers to help pay for your development costs.
Thank you,

I agree that this would be a handy feature- maybe at least adding the ability to insert check boxes (I suppose we can draw them with shape recognition) but a management of some sort would be really cool. The way I typically handle to-dos when taking meeting notes is to use a specific color. That way I know that ALL of my tasks are that color (usually red), and nothing else gets to use that color. Hope that helps someone for the time being.

yes, this would be great. The MacOS notebook app by "circusponies" had something like this.
At the end of each notebook was a "todo"page, with a listing of all todos of that notebook, sorted by section. (Notebooks could be organised via an ouline page with collapsable structure, much like goodnotes pdf-outline feature - i miss that too)
Also, it had several other 'visual tags' like exclamition marks, rolodex icon, calendar icon ... that could link to adress book and calender entries :) . You could search for them and would get a list of all pages where occured. This would be a great feature! -

An easy way to manage todos is the mostly missed feature for me, too. I would prefer to add a todo-box next to the text and the ability to get all the todos listed on one page. I do not need any reminder or something else, only all the todos listed in one place would be enough for me. Instead of a todo-box I could also imagine a "todo-marker": Just highlight a written text with a special marker and it will automatically listed as a todo .
I would love my most loved app so much more with such a killer feature!!! -

While this would be handy, without integration with reminders or a way to aggregate them, it would be hard for people who take lots of notes... But if I could circle my to do's and add them to Reminders, with a text note saying which notebook they came from - now that would be a differentiator.

Integration with OmniFocus would be great for this!

An integration with Trello would be awesome! A handwritten action could be OCRed and added to a document specific board or list in Trello.

I agree this feature will help us a lot. Please make it happen

Links from page to page would make this possible - OneNote and Evernote does this. Take notes on pages and then copy page link to be placed on a "to-do" page.

I write XXX next to my todo items (easy to search my bad handwriting) and when it's done I erase it. A native feature would be nice.

I draw a bold triangle and my initials (KK) next to a line. Then I can search all my KKs and it acts like a To Do list. When complete I erase, change to ZZ. That way i can search completed To Dos but keep them separate from Still To Be Done.

I take dozens of notes a day, many of them todos, which I then have to manually add to a task list. Please add this feature, it would significantly help my daily work!

some things I would prefer on that:
- ToDo Mgmt not basing on dates.
- ToDo mgmt in different tools not always the restricted native IOS tools
- mark section (lasso) as toDo and easily make the go somewhere - either a todo management or a notebook collecting todos
- typical handwrites mark todo in their notebooks with a square left to the text like a tick box to cross out out or green hock to mark it done -

We got two main threads going on this subject. Vote both or bring one of them forward. I really hope for this feature....

I think there is another thread asking specifically for iOS reminder integration (Can we steal their votes?).
I tend to draw a checkbox just to the left of a written task to give me a visual cue to come back and add that as a follow up task in my reminders list (or Office 365 tasks). I'd rather trigger a todo lasso feature with a pencil drawing of a box instead of having to tap the lasso at the top, which feels like a wasted step.
I'd also like the option to directly link to iOS or Office 365 reminders instead of another task list feature in Goodnotes (e.g., I don't need a Goodnotes notebook of tasks). This way, you don't have to reinvent all the features of other task list programs (priority, due dates, color codes, etc.).

Would love to lasso an idea or whatever and send it to a certain tab in a to do notebook. If I can shoot for the stars I would also like all the functionality of the great to do apps out there in that notebook (like color code, priority, assigning task, emailing, adding notes, etc.)

One thing I like about OneNote is the ability to flag icons within notes that have meaning - such as automatically adding to a to do list. This would be awesome.

A way to link my hand written notes to a task list, whether internally or 3rd party, would be very helpful. Currently I have separate notebooks per subject and one task list for all but with this feature I could have tasks for a specific subject in that subjects notebook and then have a generated task list separately, and be much better organized.
Could be "link to task" button, then I put a box around writing I want to link, like lasso, and it generates a (drag-able or move with lasso) linked symbol on side and adds info to task list.
Would be so helpful. Bonus would be if I could enter criticality and due date, and if I clicked finish on task list it added note to source sheet with date and time task was marked finished.
