Scroll PDF vertically
It is nice to be able to go to the next page going down instead of going left. It would also be nice if scrolling down to the next page continuous without jumping to the next page, so you can see the bottom of one page and the top of the next page.
Vertical scrolling is supported in GoodNotes 5. It can be set in the … menu of a document or in the document settings.

1) able to add bullet point
2) add indentation function
3) being able to have different text size in one page
4) able to type in text directly on the lines in the ruled paper instead of needing to add text box every time( this makes the notes look very untidy and the ruled paper loss its meaning)
5)automatically move to a new page when the current page is full instead of writing beyond the margin endlessly
6) being able to scroll down to new pages vertically
7) after typing a whole paragraph, if having typed sth wrong and press the 'undo' button, the whole text box just disappear.....
8) add a 'redo' button next to the undo button -

I think about this almost every time I use this app. I would much rather prefer this type of scrolling. It is really the only complaint I have with the app!

It would be awesome if there was an option for vertical scrolling between pages instead of only horizontal scrolling
As far as textbox capabilities, I would really love if we could create bulletpoints (essential for note taking) and also be able to use different styles in one textbox, such as being able to bold a single word in a textbox, instead of all the text.
Love the app and keep up the good work!

Other user --Turboaspro-- has also suggested something similar. I agree with all of you on the pertinence of the addition.

It is much intuitive to "scroll vertically" to introduce the next pages of the pdf document rather than swipe horizontally. I am hoping that we would have an option for this as well.

Break the single page metaphor and have an endless running page, or at least the option to view pages in one long endless end to end page. This allows for notes and drawings behind the screen size barrier. It makes it easy to refer page to notes.

I hope that the function of vertically flipping page should be added like pdf file view on pc screen.
Now only horizontal way is possible.
Why? when I check my pdf files, I want to see them just as I see on my pc screen.
Please add this function.
Thanks

I agree it would be great to have temporary margins to write in columns while keeping a global margin for the whole document (maybe also at page level) to keep the overall document consistency.
The temporary margins should be clearly set separately from others (eg directly from the top bar of the zoom window) so it can be quickly changed without having to go into a menu. -

The only reason I use a competitors app is because I can scroll vertically from page to page in reading mode. That gives me the ability to never be blind to what is coming next when presenting from the app. Would love this ability!

@Lauren Yee You can scroll the page up (with one finger) to use the zoom window on the lower part of the page. Next update will also let you zoom out to see the whole page when using the zoom window.

It would also make it easier to take notes using the zoom box when you reach the bottom of the screen. Right now, the bottom of the page dissapears under the zoom window, so you can't really zoom in on anything on the bottom quarter of the page.

Just add an up and down button to the existing back and forth and new line buttons in the zoom box window to move the zoombox vertically.

Fantastic app. Recently used it at a conference and people were constantly asking my what app I was using to take notes.
I would love to be able to lock rotation for Goodnotes so that I can just notes vertically in the margins of PDF files. I know that I can lock rotation from preferences, but I want to do it for Goodnotes only.

It would be a bit more intuitive.

I agree. Also, in the current version, you have to flick pretty forcibly to get from on page to another. Compare it to the iOS photo app, and you will see they allow a much lighter flick. This makes it a pain to browse documents in GoodNotes.
