Scroll PDF vertically
It is nice to be able to go to the next page going down instead of going left. It would also be nice if scrolling down to the next page continuous without jumping to the next page, so you can see the bottom of one page and the top of the next page.
Vertical scrolling is supported in GoodNotes 5. It can be set in the … menu of a document or in the document settings.

This would be good, but locking the paper rotation rather than the whole app might be better. http://feedback.goodnotesapp.com/forums/191274-goodnotes-ideas/suggestions/8032872-lock-the-paper-orientation-to-use-it-as-a-real-pap

Please add this feature ASAP. I'm considering switching note apps just to get vertical scrolling.

Vertical scrolling and automatic resizing when in landscape mode to fill the page are the two things that keep me using Notability.

I tend to use another app (TurboScan) to take my photos of lecture slides in class, and then import them into GoodNotes. The reason being: Turbo Scan offers the ability to fine tune where each of the four corners are while cropping, instead of being confined to moving the horizontal and vertical bars only. It would be really cool if GoodNotes could incorporate this ability to move each individual corner, and not just the vertical and horizontal edges. And if the ability to crop was incorporated on the page that comes up immediately after taking the photo in GoodNotes. Thank you.

After using GoodNotes on a 12.9" iPad Pro with Apple stylus heavily for several months, I found myself frustrated that GoodNotes did not have the following capabilities or features:
(a) Ability to open the same document in two windows or open a split-pane view in one window, so one could compare different sections of the same document or two sections of different documents at the same time.
(b) Move navigation tools like search, go back to previous location, go to page number, etc onto the main screen, there seems to be plenty of room at the top. This would avoid an extra click for these heavily used options.
(c) Replace or complement swiping left or right to move forward or backward a page with two simple icons at the top of the main page, say <- -> to move forward and backwards a page and just click -> to create a new page to the left. Swiping has the serious drawback that the screen jitters (is slightly moved back and forth) by one's hand as one tries to write. Using clicks on an icon would give a more stable page and an improved experience.
(d) Searching is disappointingly and inefficiently implemented. One should have the option to search just for capital letters (say in abbreviations), right now search ignores capitalization and so is often inefficient. One should be able to use generalized regular expressions to look for more general patterns (like *abc*). After searching, one is not able to scroll around on the page to see where the search had a hit which is quite frustrating and unnecessary, one should always be able to scroll around on a page, independent of the status of the search box.
(e) When choosing "return to previous page", this should return one to the exact same screen arrangement and location as before. Even on an 12.9" iPad Pro, I often zoom the screen onto some feature of a figure or PDF document, and it is wasteful of time, when I want to return to the same page after looking at some other part of the document, to have to rearrange the screen a second time. GoodNotes should be able to recall the state and location of the screen and return to it.
(e) Add icons at the top of the main screen that allow one to expand a document to fit a screen horizontally or vertically, two commonly used defaults that would save me time.
(f) In using GoodNotes to look at multiple documents (say journal articles), I find I often have five or more tabs open at the same time in which case the tabs become too small to show what they correspond to. GoodNotes needs to add a supplementary option that pops up a list of all active windows with full names so that one can easily see what is open and jump to that document quickly.
(f) The GoodNotes filesystem needs to be improved, it is frustrating that, in any given list of files, one cannot create a folder to organize the files further. There should be a fully capable hierarchical file system, which is easy to implement.
(g) There should be a "full screen" mode that maximizes one's ability to view a document by hiding all menus so that a document fills the entire screen. Some simple gestures could be created to correspond to the most commonly used menu options, or a double tap could be used to toggle between full screen and having menus visible.
(h) Allow exporting a file to run in background asynchronously so that it doesn't lock up the app. I have added notes to some journal articles that were 30+ pages long and then exporting and uploading the article could take many seconds, during which time I could not use GoodNotes. The GoodNotes team could learn a lot by looking carefully at the Android note-taking app LectureNotes. While not perfect, that app substantially exceeds GoodNotes in terms of having useful features like the ones proposed above, and easy convenient customization (e.g., one has the ability to choose which of many short-hand icons can appear at the top of a screen).

Would be great to have the possibility to resize sheets, for example if I choose one Letter, to change it to vertical or horizontal or if I choose lines change it in blank.

That's awesome, thank you. I understand it's a big change and probably a lot of work, especially combining it with Good Notes killer feature of being able to freeze the output to a projector to a fixed location. But it would be a much appreciated feature; for me it's the only thing missing.
