Password protect

It would be great if you had an option to password protect a selected notebook in case you have to create one that would contain sensitive information.

Introducing Password Protection for your documents


To lock a document, tap on the context menu for the document in the library view and set a password. Anytime you try to open, export, duplicate, or delete the document, Goodnotes will ask you for the set password. If you’re using a device that supports FaceID or TouchID, you can use these instead of your password to unlock a document. Please note that you can have only one password that will apply to all locked notebooks and that Password Protection is only available in Goodnotes 6. Learn more


Update to version 6.4.2 in App Store to use Password Protection.

    I just purchased the app and love it, but I had it narrowed down between you and a competitor that already has this function in place. If I had know, I think that I would have chosen the other app. Please have this fixed soon. I love your interface and ease of use and don’t want to buy a second app just for security....but I will to use it for our finances etc. I don’t want my kids seeing and they use my iPad at different times for different reasons. Thank you.

    Please, I keep many confidential notes and would feel better if I had them password protected
