Password protect
It would be great if you had an option to password protect a selected notebook in case you have to create one that would contain sensitive information.
Introducing Password Protection for your documents
To lock a document, tap on the context menu for the document in the library view and set a password. Anytime you try to open, export, duplicate, or delete the document, Goodnotes will ask you for the set password. If you’re using a device that supports FaceID or TouchID, you can use these instead of your password to unlock a document. Please note that you can have only one password that will apply to all locked notebooks and that Password Protection is only available in Goodnotes 6. Learn more
Update to version 6.4.2 in App Store to use Password Protection.

As a clinician, password protection would allow for HIPAA compliance.

This feature is a must-have, I switched to Notability for that feature alone! But Notability sucks when zooming in PDF Architecture drawings which Goodnotes is better at!
Please add a Password protection feature since my work requires all my documents to be secure.

This is a great idea especially if you have a personal document like a daily journal or such. This provides for a more granular protection of specific documents vs locking the entire goodnotes app

You've talking about password protecting specific folders in Goodnotes (not the app, I mean certain folders) for over 2 years now. Is this going to happen soon?

For those of you that need this app password protected to be able to fully use it; you can sort of password protect it by using the screentime possibilities. https://www.google.nl/amp/s/www.cultofmac.com/600976/password-protect-ipad-apps/amp/

Password protect please. I’d love to use this for journaling, but I don’t feel secure enough yet.

This should be a basic feature for a notebook app. I can even add a small lock to my daily notebook, how could this feature could not be possible for GoodNotes?

I spent countless hours setting up GoodNotes 5 to replace Noteshelf as I thought GoodNotes had more features I wanted. Then I go to add a password on my folder and can't find a way to do that, nor can I add a password to a notebook. I don't get it. People have been asking for password protection for years, yet you refuse to add it or explain why you're not going to add it. At least I found out before spending more time with the app. It's unfortunate as it probably is overall the best notes app out there, but with no password protection it's a no-go for some. Back to Noteshelf I guess.
