Password protect
It would be great if you had an option to password protect a selected notebook in case you have to create one that would contain sensitive information.
Introducing Password Protection for your documents
To lock a document, tap on the context menu for the document in the library view and set a password. Anytime you try to open, export, duplicate, or delete the document, Goodnotes will ask you for the set password. If you’re using a device that supports FaceID or TouchID, you can use these instead of your password to unlock a document. Please note that you can have only one password that will apply to all locked notebooks and that Password Protection is only available in Goodnotes 6. Learn more
Update to version 6.4.2 in App Store to use Password Protection.

This is not as suggestion but as there is no other area where I can report an error I have to unfortunately do it here. Goodnotes keeps on asking for a document's password (even tough I have already typed it) in order to add it abd I never get to access or add my pdf. I have tried in other apps and have been succeeded but not with goodnotes. Please, fix this issue. That was the main reason why I bought this app and now it’s useless without adding my pdfs.

Please add this feature. Per note would be amazing but the whole notebook would work too. It's been marked as planned. I was hoping 5 would add this feature :(

First thank you for creating a fantastic app, it is truly great. Buuuuuut I will still be using Noteshelf 2 primarily for the password protection option per notebook. With all the options available in Goodnotes 5 it was really disappointing that you didn't add the password feature, especially today when privacy is a big element for people. If you hade that feature I would exclusively use Goodnotes.

How is this not implemented yet? Seriously, this is currently the only thing keeping from coming back to GoodNotes.

I hope that you can add a password to the notebooks so my husband won’t read my journal diary on it

A big hand up here for password protection including a Touch ID option. I’ve been a sucker and laid out the cash already, so I guess I no longer matter but I’m sad not to be using the app as I’m stuck using what I consider to be the inferior Penultimate app purely because of the lack of password :(
