Password protect
It would be great if you had an option to password protect a selected notebook in case you have to create one that would contain sensitive information.
Introducing Password Protection for your documents
To lock a document, tap on the context menu for the document in the library view and set a password. Anytime you try to open, export, duplicate, or delete the document, Goodnotes will ask you for the set password. If you’re using a device that supports FaceID or TouchID, you can use these instead of your password to unlock a document. Please note that you can have only one password that will apply to all locked notebooks and that Password Protection is only available in Goodnotes 6. Learn more
Update to version 6.4.2 in App Store to use Password Protection.

Please give us the option to protect particular notes. Much needed thing as there as some personal writings, contents or diaries which we don't want others to see. Please a much needed thing. Happy to hear positive response. ☺️

I see that this comment originated in ***2013***! Any idea when this might happen? Actually, on all of the improvements marked as “planned”, it would be really helpful (for those of us with OCD tendencies in particular - lol!) to be given an idea of where each item is in the development process or at least in the backlog of items to be developed. Not to be a nag, but pretty, pretty please?

I would also like a per notebook password option. Same password for all notebooks, but the option to have some notebooks unlocked and others not would be my top choice, just like the Notes app.

Add password protection to notes within GoodNotes. Not sure why this is difficult to do.

As you know, iPad pro is the main battlefield for GoodNotes users. Which make sense that new iPad pro 2018's Face ID get supported by GN for the sake of app market share.

Face ID support for iPhone XS Max expected, understood that many users have posted the request of password protection and good to see which has been marked as "PLANNED". This is an additional request for the Face ID support for said password app lock as all of the new iPad pro 2018 and iPhone XS Max have switched to Face ID system. Thank you.

Can you see my notes? Can you erase my notes from your database? You have no idea how important this is. I am stopping this app in two days and leaving criticism since you have no plan

The only thing lacking is password protection for the app in general or each individual notebook.
I love this app but still hesitate to use it for my work. I deal with many sensitive topics and being able to guard my notes is a must.

I really like that feature in the Day One app, but there are more features in GoodNotes that I like better. If GoodNotes had that feature as well as password protection, it would blow all other journal/diary apps out of the water. I really like being able to do handwritten journal entries and easily incorporating photos into them, but I also really appreciate the stats incorporation that Day One uses. Being able to automatically pull in a tiny caption under photos with date/time/location metadata when they are pulled into a journal entry would be amazing as well.
