Password protect
It would be great if you had an option to password protect a selected notebook in case you have to create one that would contain sensitive information.
Introducing Password Protection for your documents
To lock a document, tap on the context menu for the document in the library view and set a password. Anytime you try to open, export, duplicate, or delete the document, Goodnotes will ask you for the set password. If you’re using a device that supports FaceID or TouchID, you can use these instead of your password to unlock a document. Please note that you can have only one password that will apply to all locked notebooks and that Password Protection is only available in Goodnotes 6. Learn more
Update to version 6.4.2 in App Store to use Password Protection.

It would be really nice if we could password protect a notebook as you can in Noteshelf and Notetaker HD.

It's really important to protect the content of our notes so please develop a password lock to get into the app or a lock/password for each of the notes itself.

In a family environment, many people use the iPad. The challenge is to save your notes...
Password, Touch ID, anything will be most welcome.

How has this not been addressed yet?! I love this app but don't use it exclusively because of the lack of locking some files!!

There are some more posts supporting exactly this suggestion, so I remove my votes from here and put it onto the huge pile. If you sum up the votes for all these similar topic, I suspect this will be THE top issue.
GoodNotes is the app I use most frequently, also for confidential notes. So I cannot afford having them floating around somewhere in the cloud, and iTunes is the only way for backing up ... -

If this isn't possible then maybe a "lock category" where all docs in there aren't accessible until the category itself is unlocked?

I often use goodnotes for work, and some files are confidential. So I really need a option to lock some files and folders with a password.
I hope you can update update goodnotes with this function, just like what notability and UPAD had.

Can you developers PLEASE do your jobs? Respond to customer queries, update your software accordingly....WE are the ones that keep your company afloat by purchasing your product.
Have the common decency and morality to reply to feedback.

Really needs attention now (developers PLEASE do your job and take note the amount of people who have suggested the idea...consider goodnotes as ongoing alpha testing ;) )
I use the app with my jot script and it's perfect for my style of writing, proper posture and addition for left handed pros like us! I use goodnotes as my daily journal/diary, so you can see the need for a passcode (at least) for the sake of privacy.
It really is a no-brainer..
