Ability to select text on mac desktop application
I need to be able to select text on my mac desktop goodnotes application.
My workflow:
I'm writing many papers for school, and do all my research on my mac, downloading pdfs. I then upload all the research articles on my goodnotes 5 for mac application, after which i use the ipad goodnotes 5 application to read, annotate and highlight the papers.
Examples of copying text from the mac application:
* When i'm writing my paper, I sometimes have to manually enter the reference into Word. I have to do this by hand and can't copy and paste.
* When i'm writing my paper, I often have to find references cited in the current article. It would be so helpful to just copy and paste the DOI into a google search.
Also selecting text on the goodnotes mac application would allow an easy way for me to highlight it in one step.
Thanks!

It seems that turning off editing and copying a snippet does not work sometimes depending on how you select a snippet. One day, it did not work first so I tried to select 2-3 characters more behind the snippet although I did not need those characters. Then, it worked for the copy and paste. It would be good this improves.

Have you heard anything about this? I use GoodNotes A LOT and this is one of the things that makes GoodNotes for Mac not as efficient to use.
