It existing in the IOS version and is extremely useful. Not sure why this cant be transferred over to android.

To be able to flip and manipulate images would be exciting.

I use Goodnotes to store a lot of reference images and create moodboards, which is awesome. I especially love that images can be exported again in their original size and that it seems to handle a lot images nicely.

However, the cropping tool could need some serious improvements.

1. Non destructive cropping. The option to go back to the original image at any time after cropping. This is very important, so I don't loose the original image.

2. Preset cropping ratios (Square, circle, and custom aspect ratio eg 16:9, 4:5, etc). To make consistently sized crops. Right now I can only eyeball it.

3. The ability to flip images vertically and horizontally.

4. The ability to turn images into Grey scale (very useful as an artist to seethe values) or make other simple adjustments like brigthness/contrast, Hue/Saturation and Curves.

Be able to take multiple strokes with stylus to crop an image or edit/modify current crop area instead of having to start again, would be great for intricate crops!

I have a suggestion regarding the image crop tool that would significantly enhance its usability for creative tasks. Currently, the freehand crop is limited to very shakey hand drawn selections. It would be incredibly beneficial to have the ability to crop images using basic scalable shapes like circles, squares, triangles, hearts, and stars within the freehand mode.
Additionally, the option to draw straight lines in freehand mode that then function as crop boundaries would be a game-changer for precisely cutting out imagery. While I understand a "magic lasso" auto-crop might be complex, even the addition of the basic scalable shapes would be immensely useful in my daily workflow and would be a feature I would utilize constantly.

Import pictures, allow freehand crop, allow layering and transparency reveals.

This would be great for example in teaching anatomy, simply search images, import it and crop freehand, layer it, then have a slider to go over the layered freehand cropped pics. From clothed person, muscles, organs, skeletal, nerves, and veins…

For architects or home design, picture a scene, search for plants, furniture, objects and people. Then you can present it to make an impact. From a simple scene, to an idea that you can pitch with impact.

Please take this matter very seriously. Must needed update in goodnote. All other app like microsoft onenote have this features.

I totally agree with you. I'm really surprised this doesn't exist.

It is important to have an option to crop images when inserting them, as it allows us to select the specific part we want to use.

Please add the cropping option to the Windows Goodnotes. On the IPad you can select an imported image, and then select "crop". A new window appears with the image, and offers the options to crop as a rectangle or freehand. This needs to be available on the Windows version for digital product creators who sell Goodnotes Sticker Sheets.

As a digital journaller/planner, I want to be able to insert photos and then crop them into a perfect shape eg square, circle etc. I haven’t found a way to do this in Goodnotes.

This feature exists in every notes app.
When a photo is imported you should be able to crop the part you are interested in (using a lasso tool, rectangle selector and many other selectors), and drag it as if it were a new photo.
This is used for example when an assignment is given in a PDF file, and the user would want to crop out each question and place them at the top of each page.

I often take pictures of the chalkboard/slides in class and put it in my goodnotes.
The square board is warped into a trapezoid because of perspective.
I'd like a crop-function where you place the corners where they should be (make a trapezoid on the original image) which then is reshaped into a rectangle in goodnotes.
This would be extremely useful.
Google photos already has this feature if you need examples :)

this is not the most needed thing. there are ideas on this forum that are most needed but its a new idea that could add to the customization capability of the application

Have an option for us to scan document using iPad camera and cropping the image before pasting on our notes, and image pasted could be in PDF or image format. This will tremendously help in note taking

Stop changing the zoom level of the image when it’s being cropped. Many people design images to fit their templates but when brought into Goodnotes have to spend ages resizing.
