Especially since you state on the app and site that it is available for Family Sharing, the information is deceiving for the consumer.

I think that Family Sharing should be re-enabled for the One-Time purchase option. It’s a necessary feature thay would be perfect for an App like Goodnotes.

If i knew this previously, i would never consider purchasing Goodnotes 6 lifetime.

You made it mandatory to update, rendering the app useless, and your were not transparent in any of this process.

I will NEVER purchase Goodnotes again! And i will search for a competitor. And request Apple for a refund.

I would also like to add that i very much liked this app. But I can stand when developers don’t treat their customers fairly… and i’ve been a earlier costumer.

It's really a shame, that after SW-update 6 to 6.3.33 the access via family group for a pupil under 16yr is denied. The app is up to 4+! All school files are in the account. Really makes me furios, that the goodnotes support reacts since days not at all.

I use the app for uni but I have an apple family group and it’s crucial for me to be able to share the app with my sister, I previously bought GN 5 and that worked fine for everyone but now that I bought GN 6 it seems that even after she updated she still has the older version which is frustrating because she needs to access all the new features. I bought it thinking everyone in my family group was going to be able to access it.

our kids (age 14, 12, 11) like to use Goodnotes on iPad and iPhone in germany for scool and homework. Apple ID do not support people under 16 yeas

I also read this post just now and still can’t update family sharing with full purchase.
We have enabled every purchase sharing in each family member apple id, tried sign out, uninstall, but nothing worked…

Ich möchte Goodnotes für mein 11jähriges Kind kaufen. Wie geht das? Familienfreigabe funktioniert nicht, mit seiner eingeschränkten Apple ID auch nicht. Es kann doch nicht sein, dass man Goodnotes erst ab 16 Jahren nutzen darf!!!

family sharing is not working on my side but in app store and on gn webpage it is saying family sharing is supported. so whats the problem now?

So glad this has been put in, we’ve been family sharing since it was updated and I’m so happy my children can finally be on the same version of GoodNotes with me. It was a little complicated to do as I’d purchased the full version and not the subscription, but I’m so glad it’s done. Thank you for listening.

PLS! When will this fix be available? Says COMPLETED @ 20 Nov 2023 but still not working today 1 Dec. Only came across this post today after wasting family time & frustration over Thanksgiving upgrading to GN6 and following these support directions and escalating to Apple! Thank you!

Making this change without signalling anything to the users is a horrible way to to treat your customers! I bought good notes 6 thinking I could share it with my wife like with 5, and spent a lot of time troubleshooting it since it said on the AppStore that family sharing is supported.
My view of the app has greatly soured now after spending so much money on the new version with the only important features for me being the UI changes (would’ve been easier swallowed if I could share it)

Please bring back Family Sharing. It's a disgrace that GN 5 users have to pay a lot for the new version, which didn't contain many new features, and it makes it more difficult to use GN 5, so you should switch ;-(
But since our family of four has had family sharing removed, not only am I disappointed, but we're already thinking about switching note-taking apps. We've always been ardent supporters of Goodnotes, but not anymore.

I wasn't even notified about the changes, I bought the app as family admin because the other family members needed it. Now I have the app and don't need it and the rest of my family has not? Not even signaling this restriction when purchasing the app is definitly not a fair way of introducing such a change and gives me a bad feeling when thinking about Goodnotes. Also, purchasing the app 6 times to use it as complete family, that's just way to expensive for an notetaking app?
