Collaborate on shared notebooks with multiple users
Simulaneously share notebooks for use through the web with other users.
Talkboard is a free app by Citrix that allows for sharing of a white board with multiple users. The writing features are in general, the same as good notes.
If notebooks could support features to share with other users simultaneously, even select notebooks, then I would be able to use good notes as a collaboration tool on top of it being a note taking tool.
We’re happy to announce the release of our new update GoodNotes 5.5 including “Shared Documents”. You can now share a document with other GoodNotes users and work together on them. You can read everything about the first version of shared documents here: https://medium.goodnotes.com/link-sharing-share-documents-adb36f99c583
Details on how to use the new features and FAQ are available here: https://support.goodnotes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001571256-Sharing-a-document-with-other-users-to-collaborate-on-it

I did my master’s degree online and this would have been an incredibly useful feature. My classmates and I would meet up to do whiteboarding sessions. But how can you do this remotely? Well, one of my class, ages would hold a camera up to the whiteboard so I could see it. And I couldn’t hardly see it.
If parallel GoodNotes collaboration were possible then everyone would have been able to collaborate instead of having spectators.
I’m not sure how this could be implemented for remote collaborators without a web server, maybe it could fit into an optional subscription pack or maybe there’s an educational pack that institutions (universities) could purchase and offer students, like Zoom.
Perhaps there’s a way to support GitHub or BitBucket? Then collaborators would be sharing change sets
Zoom has a whiteboard feature, but it’s difficult to use, so every time my classmates and I tried to use Zoom’s whiteboard we just gave up.

Note taking and collaboration are two separate use cases.
The presentation piece that got added in 5.2 is breaking the functional goals of the GoodNotes product and taking it into a new demographic of use cases. Like Excel vs. Power Point .. they are not the same but share similar engines internally. It’s time for the GoodNotes team to build a GoodTeam product that includes parts of GoodNotes, plus messaging/discussions along with a shared library hosted across many standard cloud areas - Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Amazon WS and iCloud.. It is really hard to keep documentation in sync across many users but this product is impressive at its core and I think all of you have defined an excellent product opportunity that IMO should be a net new build. Small economical tools are what productive people need with a clear focus. They need to stay apps and sharing across them is the key plus its easier to fix when new tech comes out like a 8k display.

A collaboration feature would allow me to cowork with colleagues. At the moment we have to export then export back with amends. Sharing a notebook would be incredible

I have two iPads: one personal and a company-owned one. I have two Apple IDs. I have my digital planner in GoodNotes on my work iPad but it has a lot of my personal notes in the planner, and I would really be happy if I could share that digital planner notebook with my personal Apple ID. That way I could use my personal iPad to make changes and updates to my planner/personal goals, and they would sync with the notebook in the iPad I take to work. I don’t use GoodNotes on my personal iPad because nothing I do will sync with my account on the other device.
This could be solved if a user could set up an account with an email and password and access GoodNotes that way, rather than by Apple ID. If I could simply be logged in as myself with my personal email in the GN app on both devices, everything could sync, right?

I believe that this option would make the app much better.
1. I want to be able to collaborate with some of my colleagues to do some joint work. I can also use this feature as a teacher.
2. There should be at least two ways of sharing the document.
i) Can edit
ii) Read onlyIn this situation, this feature can be used by many academician. Using the read-only feature, teachers can share their hand-written notes with their students.
3. Overleaf.

PLEASE make a collaboration feature. I would love to be able to share notes and calendar with my husband. It would be perfect for our family calendar.

This would be an incredibly useful tool.
I'm a remote worker and whiteboarding with my teammates has been difficult, but now we found Invision and Miro as good collaborative tool. Although I normally would have something to present initially then let them critique and draft/edit on top of my initial notes/drawing. Unfortunately I cannot transfer all my notes/drawings over to Invision or Miro, and I would not like to duplicate work.

I use GoodNotes to make notes for school, and to help study for exams, so it would be amazing if I could share my noes with friends, and they were able to edit themselves if they wanted without effecting my copy. Not sure if this is already possible

Would be great to use my iPhone to check notes from my shared Ipad at home (has a different apple ID since it is shared).

I'd like to use that feature to be able to edit documents from my home or my work ipad (which uses a home and work apple id respectively).
This is for when I work from home, I'd like to avoid bringing my work ipad home every time.
I'm not sure what I'll do yet instead of sharing. I'll probably use independent notebooks or maybe I'll end up using my personal apple id on my work ipad.

I'd like to see this work if the underlying storage model @goodnotes supports this. Pages on iPadOS supports this quite well, but we use GoodNotes to share ideas

1. It would be super beneficial for business and household management. Our digital planners could be shared, edited, and viewable by others we choose.
2. Business and household planning, organizing, etc.
3. Everything is pen and paper currently. It's unorganized, wasteful, and cluttering my house! -

1. Why do you want to collaborate on a GoodNotes document.
My home has gone digital as of a few years ago.2. In what situations do you need it
Right now I use the CleanMama homekeeping method of cleaning (CleanMama.Com). In 2020 she is rolling out a digital home keeping planner that we receive monthly as members. My partner and I share cleaning duties so I love the digital version for less paper and we both always have access.3. What you have to do instead since GoodNotes doesn’t support it.
Right now, we have to use printed paper version and keep in a binder so that we can both access the file and keep track of progress. -

I use Goodnotes for uni, a notebook for each subject to prep for revision. One of my classmates is doing exactly the same thing... If we could collaborate, not only would it save is valuable time, but means that we would have a more rounded understanding of each topic! I love Goodnotes, this is literally the only thing that has made me look for an alternative.

When taking notes during a lecture it's easier to listen when you copy frim the board together with someone else.
What's happening now is that if I listen to the professor then I miss some of the stuff he's writing and I need another student to AirDrop me what I've just missed.
The same happens to my colleagues as well.
Using collaboration we can split the copying task and be focused in the class. -

Oh my goodness! I LOVE GoodNotes. But this is the only feature that I would want to add: the ability to sync across Apple IDs, like Apple Calendar, e-mails and a few other apps. My wife and I share multiple documents that we update regularly and we both need access to on our devices. Currently, I have to send her the document every time I make an update. Awkward. When I write my papers for school, she makes edits, for example. It would be so much easier if when I updated a file, it updated on her iPad, and her edits showed up on mine. I know that we users ask for the world without knowing what it actually takes to make something happen, but if this is really possible, that would be so WONDERFUL! Anyway, thanks for an AWESOME app!

When planning projects I use notebooks and have recently hired staff. I would like to be able to add to notebooks when I’m not in the office

Like one note, it would be very helpful if this can be shared with others and edited together.
Especially in business....
I also hate how I have to save as a PDF and then upload it to a shared business cloud.
I would have to upload a new PDF each time when I make a change on my GoodNotes. Hard to collaborate with everyone when I have to do this.
