Able to search meaning of words on web and also ipad dictionary
If good notes has another function which provide web-searching and ipad dictionary for words on PDF, it could be the best notes ever in existence.

I could not agree more. super disappointed, just now to learn this feature isn't included. may havee chosen another app if that was the case. word lookup should be seamless! (and more than english too even better! but start with english first asap pleeeeease)

When you open a pdf on iPad files app, you can select a word and hit ‘look up’, and it’ll pull it’s definition from the web. I’m sure the apple dev kit has included this feature. Just implement it, Goodnotes!
The dictionary is great, but I’m a med student, it’s essential for me to be able to quickly look-up terms without jumping to safari.
Edit: it’s been 10 years since this original feedback. Still nothing. Wow.

It would be nice if the app provides dictionaries like Kindle.

Absolutely! I am in nursing school so i am constantly looking up words. It would be nice to be able to select a word I wrote and be able to google it or find its definition on a dictionary (preferably both)

That's what I want. I am reading german PDF. so there are many words I don´t know. Then I have to stop goodnote and find definition of that word. Then come back to goodnotes app. That is very cumbersome.
