We need audio recording, pleeeaaaase!

I agree, having the ability to audio record meeting would be fantastic. Most note-taking tools offer it today. If you wanted to really blow us away, having the app tag the part of the audio file when someone is writing would be awesome. If you had that, I would pay another $5 for it. For me, this is the biggest thing holding you folks back. What you have is the best handwriting interface out there. I'm currently having to record on a separate app now. I'm not sure I can keep using Evernote/LiveScribe and you guys. Please seriously consider this. Once you have it, you'll be able to charge more and gain market share.

At the very least to have voice recordings as an option to insert within notes would be perfect. For instance, when pressing and holding, provide the option to add an audio recording button that you could lasso and relocate within the text.

There is already a suggestion like this, actually two suggestions. So, let's vote on the one with the most ;)

Add a smart voice recording that will enable me to record specific bits of a meeting by pressing a button and saving what's been recorded 15-30 seconds ago.

The conjunction of notes taking, smart voice recording and picture taken (to capture information from a blackboard) is a must.

As we could record the audio notes, the app would turn in everything we need. If the votes are summed from the several times this idea has been proposed, you could see how necessary it is and how having this feature would make Goodnotes the best app in the digital notebooks area. As it has been said, many of us would have no need of using Notability or other apps, we would prefer Goodnotes. Is just knowing that this is one of the best improvements that Goodnotes could have

Notability has audio recording and a mac app. These are the two features I NEED. I constantly find myself reverting to Notability when I want to use GoodNotes...

Yes this an option that I have on notability and live scribe. To have it in good notes would be a huge advantage and I will switch completely to it.

I'm echo of this I use notability a lot but like goodnotes. Audio recording would be a great improvement.

Once this app gets that function, it instantly becomes the best note taking app in the appstore, thats the only possible thing for which someone might prefer another apo rather than this one

I wish they had at least tried to make some groundwork/experimenting (à la "early alpha testing" / playing around).

I am totally agreed that major success of Notability beside its great marketing skill is the linked audio recording system. Many note taking apps are lazy or half baked programmers; therefore, few could do well. I always regard Goodnotes very highly because you guys are hard working bunch especially trying to improve the app in all aspects, very respectable and thank you! But your goodnotes app is only a 2nd tier app due to your lack of audio recording like Notability. In any serious meeting, conventions, I never use your app at all because you lack this major function. If you want to be the alp male or the #1 note taking - get this done!!!
