Implement a splitscreen option.
The splitscreens option allows the user to see two pages of one document at once. With this option the user can open an informative pdf on the one side while taking notes on a different sheet on the other side.

We’re excited to announce that we have completed this feature. It is now available in the update GoodNotes 5.3 for iPadOS (13.1).
With the update, we added full support for iPadOS’ multiple windows. It lets you do much more than viewing two documents side by side. To read everything you need to know about opening multiple documents, please visit goodnotes.com/ipad-os.
How to open a new window:
You can now open GoodNotes in multiple windows to view two documents side by side, view two pages of the same document in Split View, or pair it with other apps in spaces across your entire system. To open a new window, drag any of the elements listed below to the side of your screen:
- the app icon from the dock
- documents from the library
- folders from the library
- individual pages from the document thumbnail view
- tabs from the tab-bar
You can also use the buttons in the library action menu or from the tab-bar to open a new window.

Seeing two documents side-by-side will increase my productivity tremendously. Even better, seeing the same document side-by-side would be even better.

The ability to view a 2 page spread, like when you are looking at an open book. Similar to what you can do in adobe acrobat. Many PDFs created from books that are eventually going to be printed extend graphics and text over a two-page spread. It would extremely helpful to be able to view the PDF in good reader in that 2-page spread format.

With iPadOS 13 it should be possible as well to open 2 apps next to each other. I hope GoodNotes will release an update soon, so the feature will be supported soon.

Dear good-notes team,
This is the only barrier standing between me and good notes..
It’s truly annoying for this option is available in many apps which are not even considered a competitors for good notes..
It’s also very very important that you add the option to view pages from right to left for languages like Hebrew , persian and Arabic.
This is truly a must for good notes.

This would be great! I’m using GoodNotes as a Bullet Journal and I would like to be able to see a full spread all at once. (aka two pages next to each other)
