Google Drive sync
Ability to sync using Google Drive rather than iCloud. Right now you can only backup to Google Drive. There should be seamless integration with Google Drive (similar to PDF Expert.)

I don't know why this doesn't have more support, half the reason that I got goodnotes was so that the automatic sync would allow me to have quick and easy access to my notes on my other devices. So many people use Google drive instead of iCloud

You can only backup to pdf and it's only one file at a time, so not very convenient

Please make Goodnotes 6 able to sync between Apple devices using Google Drive or other cloud services. I don’t want to pay more for my Apple iCloud.

for Goodnotes 6 for MAC, can we sync with Google Drive? I've been syncing the notes to Google Drive for my iPad, and just installed on my Galaxy Z Fold 6. now I can only see sync with iCloud option for Goodnotes 6 for Mac.

Backup to Google Drive or iCloud should be enabled on Android devices and the web version of Goodnote. You can never have too many backup destinations, and it makes sense to automate it.

That would be amazing! I have many Projects with different Types of Data (Word, Goodnotes, PowerPoint, Photoshop etc.).
So when i all collect them in the Google Drive Folder it works, but it would be nice, when Goodnotes copy new folders or Data. And show goodnotes Data and .pdfs. And maybe it can show the other types an open it with the correct Application.

# WE ARE STUDENTS
ADD GOOGLE DRIVE SYNC — Does GoodNotes have an exclusive contract with Apple iCloud?
… Because every other app offers Google Drive sync, so why not GoodNotes?

Thanks

This would make Goodnotes more flexible and fit into a wider variety of workflows. I'm not an iCloud subscriber and use Google Drive instead.

Please implement this as to be used across devices (ipad, mac, and android phone/device) as it really would help with the workflow as many heavily depend on Google Drive now and it's very accessible.
Currently, I only can access the Good Notes on the iPad, and without iCloud, which is an additional cost just so to access Goodnotes, is really a bummer - especially so after having to invest on the app.

Creating a dual sync on a file or files so that multiple people can edit them at once, each person from his own ipad.
Or just being able to sync the goodnotes account to multiple Gmails (personal and University mail, when the university mail deletes itself after graduation i still can access my data if my ipad breaks).
Could be helpful to people who dont have Icloud because they use an android phone, and google drive is their storaging place. -

Thanks for mentioning this! This is much needed and would really help a lot. I don't know what they have against Google Drive.

2015 …seriously ! … Goodnotes just adds the link to “ sync via iCloud is available ..chill out “ to the feedback when we are specifically asking gDrive .
GDrive sync is a must . It’s the only app i use that dosnt sync with google !
Pretty sure no one wants to use icloud by default … it’s full before you even know it exists ….gDrive has more space and is very comfortable to use beyond Mac world !

This would be a game changer for me if Google Drive were allowed. My iPad has a profile on it from my employer. iCloud sync is disabled. Google Drive is not disabled. I know that I can back up the files to my google drive; and I can share those files with my coworkers. But, synchronizing notes is a real pain because we have to check them out and back in over and over again.

Wow. Just saw that this original post is over 6 years old! Any progress on this, GoodNotes?

Yes. I don't want my GoodNotes files to sit in their own folder in Google Drive. I want my GoodNote files to live wherever I need them in any of my Google Drive folders.

Huge yes to this!
This would make it so much easier to access and store my files. My iCloud fills up so quickly. I believe this was an option before (I watched many tutorials on how to do it but could never get it to work myself because the functionality was no longer there). It would be so helpful!

I was recently told that you can only back up and synch to iCloud if you want to use GoodNotes5 across multiple devices. It would be great to be have the option to do it through Google Drive or Dropbox as well.
I believe this was an option previously. Please, please bring it back!

I want to be able to open pdf files directly from any location on my Google Drive, both from the "My Drive" as well as from any one of the "Shared Drives", and then store my edits directly. E.g. for quickly annotating files without having to move them back and forth into iCloud. In other words, the organisation of my files is on Google Drive, not on GoodNotes or iCloud.
Thanks!
