Always orient handwriting conversions as upright by default from users current viewpoint
I routinely scan student papers so that I can grade them on my iPad. The other day I accidentally had some papers upside down when they went into the scanner.
No problem! Goodnotes has the ability for me to select pages in mass and rotate them around.
However, when grading those papers and attempting to convert handwritten comments to text, I noticed that the conversion gets oriented upside down from my current viewpoint because it interprets that the page was rotated all the way around and so it’s attempting to make sure that the conversion is viewable correctly from the originally scanned position.
It seems to me to be more logical to make sure that the text is oriented upright from the current viewpoint, and only if the user deliberately wants to rotate it upside down that they could do so.

store taken fotos also to standart foto library
Mostly i make notes with a taken foto as whole page, there is a menu option for that. But the foto is only in goodnotes. It would be very nice when there is a copy in the standart foto library as well. Then I don´t have to take the foto again with the standart foto app to have a foto without any notes.
Maybe there is an option to choose between storing in the standart library as well or not...

pdf read aloud
I am dislexic a PDF read aloud would help so much. (like how adobi arcrobatic) this would help as well as when I am trying to take a brack but would like to keep reading but my eyes may not be able to take any more reading anymore. (part of the reson I love how I can highlight the needed parts of any test book pages I needed with this note taking app.)

Subject: Suggestion for Folder-Specific Document Unlocking
I would like to suggest adding an option to unlock files within a specific folder instead of unlocking all locked documents across the app after unlocking just one. This would enhance security by limiting access to only relevant documents while also providing more control and convenience for users. Thank you for considering this improvement!

Shapes Filter Option
All of the time I want to create a circle and because it's not perfect enough it gets completed to an oval. I would suggest a menu when you click on the shapes tool (like the one when you click the lasso tool) where you are able to enable/disable shapes that get created.

Please add Indent, Bullet and a Numbering icons next to the return button. This would be very helpful when using handwriting to text.

Fix Search function, please
there is an issue with it highlighting the correct word so it will show that the word is on the page but it won't highlight it or if it does highlight it the highlighting is not actually on the word so you still have to look around the highlighting to find the word you're looking for
there is a glitch that makes searching really slow so I have to retype the word a few times for it to show up
sometimes it says the word is not in the document but when I search on other platforms it comes up (so it is not an issue with the document itself)
I love the ability to search for words that are on the same page together (please do not change that) but if there is a way to make it so that you can also search specific phrases that would be great
also if there is a way to incorporate OCR so that it can scan pictures in imported pdfs to make those searchable as well that would be awesome

Utilizing space beyond the slide..
I do believe that Goodnotes does some of the best (if not the best) work at editing PDF powerpoint slides. One feature that I love about another competitor app however, is the ability to edit on the side the PDF slide aka slide notes. This would be a great way to add additional information (definitions, questions, images,stickers) and avoiding layering on an already cluttered slide. I think this would pair well with Goodnotes 'presentation' mode which I use quite often and pull up my own notes to present lecture slides.

Goodnotes 6 is stopping my imac form going into sleep mode when used on my ipad since the recent ios and mac updates.
Since the recent updates, my imac will not go to sleep even when I do not have goodnotes open on it - it is kept awake by using goodnotes on my iPad. Please change this as it's costing electricity!

Additional function to pen and shape tools
i usually use Goodnotes for PDF so sometimes objects drawn with pen tool are difficult to see. therefore, i suggest new type of pen which has edged line like lazer tool.
my another idea is adding wavy and double line to pen or shape tool. now i can draw only single lines to highlight words / sentences. However it seems there's lack of function. thus we need wavy and double line tool.2 votes -

Create templates from current page
Add this to suggestion box: make It easier to add a current page I am working on to the templates. Right now I have to export and then import back in and that is annoying and useless. Thanks.

Color control after duplication of text
Why would you take away color control after text duplication. It was there until your silly icon upgrade. Did you ever think we were using that feature for drop shadows on text? Now I have to go to the lasso and reselect the text before I can change it's color. An extra two steps. Please put it back!

Text box colour picker
There is no colour picker for the background of the Text Box, why was it added in the other colour selectors, but not for the Background colour?

Highlight mode with the ability to also hide tool bar!
You should be able to have the highlighter or pen tool selected for example, and then click a little button to hide the tool bar so that you can read without distractions but still underline and highlight text.

Introduce a new feature that ensures grammatically correct notes. This will not only grammatically correct the notes but also enhance learning and mastery of the new language.

There are a pages and pages of people requesting this as an improvement. They are scattered into many posts, but they are all trying to say the same thing!!
The problem is, people aren't sure how to describe what they are looking for. It took me a while to discover they are called streamline and stabilization... and I have Procreate. Most people are typing in web searches like 'how can I make my writing smoother' or 'better handwriting with pen'. This feature is what they are looking for. It is too bad that it is not a feature yet . How many more people would be drawn to Goodnotes if this was added?!!!! Finger crossed!
