Improved Navigation and Workflow Efficiency in GoodNotes 6: Adjust Home and Back Buttons to Navigate Back One Level
Current Behavior:
• Pressing the Home or Back button in GoodNotes 6 navigates back to the root directory, regardless of the current folder depth.Requested Behavior:
• Pressing the Home or Back button should navigate back one level to the folder containing the most recently accessed document, preserving the user’s position within the directory structure.2 votes -
Import to existing document
When importing a document to Goodnotes, besides “import to current” and “import to a new document”, also add the ability to “import to existing document” and browse to the document and page where you want to insert. This would be more convenient than having to open the document/page you want before importing. That interrupts my work flow. Thank you.

Goodnotes 6 - "Zoom Window Return Height" in custom templates
Please (re-) add the functionality of being able to specify the "Zoom Window Return Height" to custom templates into Goodnotes 6.
It was there in GN5 (https://support.goodnotes.com/hc/en-us/articles/201565249-Adjusting-Zoom-window-return-height-for-a-template) but missing from GN6

鎖定打字方格
建議:可唔可以固力打字/寫字/圖片範圍唔移動(寫字同埋翻頁果陣會郁黎郁去)。
同埋想要自動每行加列點(如果我需要果陣)。

Being able to fold pages
A new tool to “fold” pages vertically or horizontally to divide the page into a customizable number of rows/columns. This would be helpful for creating tables etc.

Lined Notecards
I would rather have lined note cards than blank ones because everytime I want to create a study set, they are always slanted and not in neat lines of words.

Real Reviews and Studies
Hey everyone, I’ve been reading up on HGH injections and how they’re being used in anti-aging therapies. It sounds pretty promising, but I’m curious if anyone here has actually tried it for that purpose. I’ve seen some glowing reviews online, but I’m a bit skeptical about whether these injections really deliver on their promises. Are the effects truly noticeable, and do they last long-term? Also, are there any legitimate studies that back up the claims? I’d love to hear some real experiences or insights, especially since this isn’t something to take lightly.

up by 0.25 for pen size
It would be great if the slider allowed options of pen size going up by 0.25's. Sometimes the right size isn't a full 0.5 larger. I really need a 4.75 haha.

Turn handwritten titles into links
I would love to be able to use the lasso tool to select a handwritten word in a notebook and have that take me to a particular section in my notes. I know you can link to a certain page, but from my knowledge the link must be typed and I would like to be able to be able to link to a section of the screen. This could maybe be done by zooming into a certain section that you want to link to and having a button up the top allowing you to save that position in the screen and name it/have a preview of it. Then when you select a handwritten word with the lasso tool, the option to link it to a page or position. It would be great if you could link to a particular section using the linking feature that is already in the app too. Hope that made sense.

(interactive) page numbers / page numbering
I wish for an interactive page numbering tool, that let's you place a field for autogenerated page numbers in your document or just a section of it.
Here is my idea (translated by google):
I love taking notes at university with Goodnotes. However, I find it cumbersome to add page numbers by hand to large documents. I use my own template for Goodnotes, which has a free field for page numbers at the bottom. I would like a function in Goodnotes that allows me to automatically generate page numbers and place them where I want.
My idea includes a kind of "text box" whose content can be specified, but can also contain "variable document information" such as the page number: The content of the text box in "edit mode" could then look like this: [Page <pn>]
The result would look like this:
Page 1: "Page 1"
Page 2: "Page 2" ... you get the idea.
<pn> is the placeholder for the respective page number. Other document details are also conceivable, such as storage location, creation date, version, etc.
In edit mode, the "text box" should, as the name suggests, be editable, i.e. text, design, appearance and font should be editable. In addition, in this mode, the positioning on the page or pages should also be able to be specified. This positioning should then be automatically adopted on all pages on which this box should be visible. It should also be possible to specify which ones these are in edit mode. It would also be conceivable to be able to specify different boxes of this kind with different content for different sections in the same document, or to restart the numbering, etc.
In the specific case of numbering, I think it would be good if you could not only display the current page number in the document for each box, but also start your own numbering. Here is my idea (original in German):
The result would look like this:
Page 1: "Page 1"
Page 2: "Page 2" ... you get the idea.
I wish for an interactive page numbering tool, that let's you place a field for autogenerated page numbers in your document or just a section of it.

Improve shape support
I heard about Goodnotes from Samuel Suresh, and one of the things that impressed me was the ability to quickly create digital designs that combine handwriting and solid backgrounds that would be much more difficult by hand. Here is an example video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mHPO69egAcA. Thing is, Goodnotes has abysmal shape support. Every application I’ve ever used that has shape support you can change the fill and usually stroke color. Not Goodnotes.
To the GoodNotes Team: Is improved shape support on the future roadmap? Take Freeform: You can quickly add zillions of shapes which are fully customizable. You don’t need to use the shape tool to create a shape. To edit a shape you don’t need the lasso tool; tap the shape and you can change the stroke and fill. Why the fill color is a simple toggle with absolutely no customization is bewildering. Could we have a tool that allows us to add predefined shapes like Freeform, edit the color and stroke, and then duplicate them by tapping on the shape?

Lecture Slides next to notes template
Please add a feature where you can attach a blank sheet (either the same size or slightly smaller) directly next to a downloaded document. I understand that you can open the same notebook in a different window, but it is not functional to have the notes go below the document (or in my case lecture PowerPoint). It is impossible to keep my written notes organized while writing on the same slide as my notes. It is confusing and distracting. Think like a Cornell note style template, where you have room to write notes as well

Resize tool DOESN’T anchor from the centre
When using the resize tool to resize images, stickers, text, handwriting etc… the resize tool anchors from the centre so when you pull it down at the bottom it will also shoot up at the top. This makes it hard to get it to the exact size you want as you can’t predict exactly half of how much bigger you want it if that makes sense. Basically just have options on all four sides to pull out or push in the image etc…

Turn off ruler snap to zero
The ruler is great, but it snaps to zero if I try my mnully set it to a small angle. I have a pdf that is scanned to a slight angle, so I want to tweak the ruler to just a few degrees (less than 5)
I know I can manually pick a specific number, but I don’t know the number. I just know if I tweak it just so…it lines up with the pdf lines. But then it snaps back to zero
Just let me turn off snap to zero.

Typing with GoodNotes 6 for Mac
The typing function of this app is nearly unusable. There are too many flaws to list, but the most frustrating is that when typing, lines do not automatically carry over to the next page, and when selecting the "Add Page to Carry Over" button, the following page is often formatted differently and/or missing lines. Additionally, pasting from a different GoodNotes document with the same format results in missing or "hidden" lines of text. This is a premium priced note taking app with many (useless) features, paying users expect basic functions to perform properly. I switched from Notability for reasons less than what I am experiencing now. Please resolve these issues.
