As a musician I would love so much to see a tool in Goodnotes which would allow to draw perfect parallel lines for music staves in any length. The optimum would be to be able to select the number of lines drawn, from only one when needed for percussion/pure rhythm notation to five for the regular system and even up to six lines (for guitar tablature). The famous music app ForScore has this feature in pro version which works great, but the general functionality of drawing and colouring in this app is so poor, I feel GoodNotes is light years ahead. So for the creation of sheets GoodNotes is simply the best and for me it would be perfect to have the drawing tool for staves. A second suggestion and wish is to be able to lock the size of importing templates so for instance all guitar chord diagrams could be easily adjusted to the very same size/format.

I want to buy the new version of GoodNotes 6, but the zoom in functionality in templates setting is missing, which stops me from doing the purchase

Typography lines or typography lock
Lines telling users that what they’ve written down is align with others in another line. Also, when using a squared paper, I mean now we can move it freely without any lock when we move pass through those grid lines. But it would be better, if the words we’ve written down are stayed or locked on the grid line.

Introduce a Zen Mode
I would love to have a toggle to activate something like a "zen mode". If toggled, there should be nothing except for the paper and a floating toolbar with selected tools only. The user has complete control over which tools to use here. For example, I never use stickers, so this would not be in my toolbar. However, I regularly switch between a blue ballpoint, a black ballpoint, a green brush and a red brush pen. These alongside with the eraser and lasso tool would be in my "Zen Floating Toolbar".
Additionally, it would be very helpful to customize the already existing tool bar to each owns needs. E.g. more colours than just three, but instead remove stickers and camera. Folder organization as list
The folder organization will be better as expandable list structure like on MacOS or MS OneNote.

Text box problems
It seems there has been a change in a text box function.
The text box didn't move until I selected [T] or text function.
But now, with a slight touch with my hand or finger, the text box is selected and moves around. This is very inconvenient because I usually take notes by typing. I have more than 150 pages written down and now whenever I try to review the materials with my apple pencil, it moves.In the video I intended to touch it with my hand because this happens suddenly. I hope you fix this problem.

Being able to access PDF links with your finger or two taps with the Apple Pencil

PDF Merge
Merging pdf, either between existing goodnotes files or those in my files, is something I do fairly regularly. I have to usually turn to online sources that are sometimes a little sketchy looking rather than paying high fees to do something that should be simple. I would love to see this ability added to goodnotes!

Change default text color for each header or format while in typing mode.
This way, each heading can have a user-defined default color, and you don't have to change it every time.
This would pair nicely with keyboard shortcuts.

Mathematical Graphing tool
Drawing Mathematical equations on a graph by hand is pretty exhausting. Especially, when Goodnotes doesnt really make it possible to draw them accurate.
I would love to add a window to my GoodNote document where I can interactively plot a function like f(x)= x + ln(x).
A kind of GeoGebra implementation in the document would be cool.
That would help all the people who

Search feature
I have a notebook I’ve purchased that I want to get the original formatting and I can’t do that because it doesn’t show up in the store anymore and I would like to see my in app purchases history to redownload a new version of the notebook I already have. There needs to be a search history and search feature in the app so we can find these things.

Extend tooling tools
I use GoodNotes for my mechanical engineering studies. For this it would be nice if a few more features were added.
I would find the following features important:
-ruler with a scale and angle setting
-Predefined shapes (arrow, semicolon line, square, circle, etc...)
-Mathematical paper templates (graph paper, squared paper with 5mm boxes)

Ipad pro6 hover i pencil.
When i used pencil with hover, i feel written word doesnt look like same as i want to write. Please optimization for hover ipencil.

Inkscape like locking and grouping of objects
When using an image in background for annotaion two things would be great:
- disable/lock image in background so one can select/move/copy... notes made on
that image without affecting the image itself.- allow grouping elemts s.t. those elements are selected together. Image with notes on it is always moved etc. together with notes so layout is preserved
